2024/06/10 at 7:59 pm #122838LishinskyParticipantWhere would the card be installed? It can be a problem if it takes a I/O port.
2023/01/12 at 3:51 pm #110845LishinskyParticipantYou can also use Aux Busses instead of FX sends!
and there is no need to use stereo buss to generate a stereo effect as long as the return is stereo.2022/02/21 at 6:10 pm #106140LishinskyParticipantThank you
2021/04/18 at 1:10 pm #100756LishinskyParticipantThe difference between mono and stereo extends way further then the ability to pan elements to left or right.
I’m not sure how well you understand the true concept of stereo.I’m not here to give lectures, but I recomend that you and other engineers who think like you, rethink your approach to stereo.
Here is a good place to starthttps://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=Dave+rat+stereo+vs+mono

If you mix in a studio you better sit at the exact center so you can hear equal balance between the speakers.
But try this:
Go to your studio if you have one, play some stereo recording and move away from the sweet spot. Now toggle between Stereo and mono monitoring.
Hear the difference??
This is what you been depriving your audience of!
2021/04/16 at 2:34 pm #100720LishinskyParticipantThe assumption that stereo in live situation is pointless is totally wrong!!
Aldough in some cases it is true, in most cases it is stil very beneficial.Stereo is used not only for placing different instruments on opposite sides.
Stereo sources like keyboards reverbs, should be reproduced in stereo and sound better even if some audience hear only one speaker.
Further more sending identical signal to both left and right speakers will result in more unpleasant phasing and combfilter effect.I would In most standard PA setups more then 70% of your audience will experience better sound quality in stereo!
Stereo is not only for your living room by far Sorry!
2021/04/16 at 2:02 pm #100719LishinskyParticipantI actually do it all the time!
I use RedNet 3 units to convert Dante from dlive to ADAT optical that goes into p16i units and then distributed to the p16m.
Works great and allows me to connect multiple sets of p16 universes, if you use 2 x RedNet 3 units you can run 4 p16 universes.2020/05/19 at 10:22 pm #91974LishinskyParticipantYes, Thats what i been doing but its far from efficient. a simple TEMPO UP/DOWN on softkeys will solve this both on surface and Director.
2020/05/18 at 5:43 pm #91934LishinskyParticipantYes, and even on the surface the control over global BPM is very clumsy. i can not assign any permanent knob or buttons to control BPM, i only have the tap button and if i have to fine tune then I’m forced to go to FX page to adjust BPM value.
2019/06/18 at 9:18 pm #84687LishinskyParticipantI don’t think there was a response from A&H ever on this subject.
its been ignored!!2019/06/18 at 9:13 pm #84686LishinskyParticipantthanks Nicola
i will try fix the problem by increasing the network buffer size as Art suggested, if that doesn’t help ill open a ticket.2019/06/18 at 12:43 pm #84672LishinskyParticipantThank you Art
i will try2019/06/16 at 5:18 pm #84622LishinskyParticipantDoes any one else experiencing this Problem!!
