If you support David by paying for his app I’m sure he’ll get right on this 😉

    Jakethepeg,

Why? You can’t add more ‘ghost’ channels to switch to? Having two Qu devices connected removes the ability to have stage racks or ME-U systems.

The only thing I can see is direct outs for a broadcast mixer. (I for one would rather have other things added on the Qu; but to each their own).

DX32 is a dLive product. It’s not hard to find in the dLive section > dLive menu > products > dx expansion.

V1.2 coming out soon* weeks/month for the SQ *should* enable DX32/DX Hub usage.

Thanks Jeff, I was thinking through connectivity situations for installs/live sound scenarios.

The problem with other protocols than dSnake is it won’t carry names to the ME1’s 🙁 Though you can pre-program the ME1’s or in the ME-U.

I’m thinking a 96kHz box with a monitor/expander port for ME-U/ME1/ME500 is in order 😉 [Either that or the sLink card should have both sLink & monitor outputs).

I want the FOH SQ6 slot to be used for waves/dante then sLink to a monitor mixer with a sLink card that goes to stage box(es) [dx hub] & ME-U hub. That would be an ultimate setup.

You’ll get presets eventually. But why do you need presets? If you really want them then roll your own based upon QU…?

Okay thanks, so the ME-U hub can’t accept 96 kHz gigaACE connections only 48kHz. Thanks for the patience, I now see where in the manual(s) it states that.

Will a card be created for ME-U so that it can?

I’m afraid of not being able to fully utilizing stage boxes (96kHz) & the ME system.

Ethan, if I’m reading between the lines correctly. You are concerned about shutting QU/SQ boards down without running the ‘shutdown’ command from the GUI.

Basically, can you pull power from SQ/QU without harming the boards?

I’d like an answer too, because I’ve never read about that either.

Perhaps I need to rephrase my question.

I see support for DX Hub is probably going to be supported with v1.2 which is coming soon.

It seems possible to go from SQ -> DXHub -> split -> [DX168x2 per port & ME-U].
The only issue I see is the 32×32 ch per port will only allow the ME’s to have access to 32 of their 40 inputs.

Seems like there is a need for a DX2412 with expander port (for ME personal mixers) and keeping 96kHz.

I love that the ME system can work on nearly any protocol (with ME-U), but I think the SQ (& QU/GLD) should have a dedicated port for the ME system outside of the SLink/dSnake so we can run the personal mixers at the same time as a stage box.

When the sLink card comes out it needs to have more than 1x sLink port. One for sLink & one for monitors (ME connection [dSnake]).

The problem with this is the wifi latency.

While it would be cool/nice and might be useful for long distances away from the stage (eating up the latency with the time it takes sound to travel to your ear).

The number of support calls A&H would get from people complaining the audio stutters, drops, or is delayed would be crazy high.

The light bar has brightness and wht <-> blu balance.

Playing with it in my house; I think it will be fine for users with good eyes on the blue tinge setting, the white will be better for those with worse eyes.

It is EXTREMELY well designed how the light hits all the parts from such a low angle and yields great results.

That said, some might prefer a desk lamp.

I suggest this one for its price.

While I agree that they don’t HAVE to fulfill feature requests as the product is sufficiently mature and very capable.

AND it’s kinda smart not to refresh an old product so A&H (and others) can force people to buy newer hardware.

I think A&H should DEFINITELY do a major release for the QU series that enables many of the most sought after features. That is for the good of the community and it solidifies that A&H isn’t going to forget its users (iLive anyone?).

Here in the states we’d offer beer to the devs, what do y’all like across the pond? Because I’ll send some, as a thanks!

All of which are announced and coming. Expect 2018 to have regular large updates for the firmware.

Currently, I have not heard of that being possible. There is lots of routing possibilities with the QU series and the PAFL buss, so I’m assuming that’s on the list of firmware improvements.

I don’t think they quite anticipated the attention SQ would get; they were prepared to update the software as momentum grew. But now there’s a huge demand and lots of users already 4mo after announcement and the users want a fully mature product like the QU, but it isn’t there yet.

Just like QU in its infancy was I might add.

A&H Staff might weigh in on if it’s coming soon or not. I expect by end of March some of the big requests will be done.
