I agree with and like the potential solution for use when activating / deactivating via the fader section but find it faster and easier (for myself) to do this via the applicable soft screen on the touch screen

Think you are correct about the sidechain function being limited to frequency settings on the GLD. I am setting up our HOW on Saturday and am going to attempt to duck the band output with the floor/preacher mic level.

Should it not be possible via the onboard compressor settings I will use one of my external compressors.

Thanks for the quick reply. That does help! So the Matrix works just like Auxes from an assignment perspective.

I’ll go back to the Config scene and add back the Matrix options

    Really just my two cents:

Been using the desk for quite a few months now. We upgrade firmware as it becomes available, we put our varied USB sticks in and leave them in or take them out and use another one for playback. We record the worship to USB and play it back. iPad is connected and used for monitors by some of the guys. Almost every available input is used and sound is distributed all over the place. Skilled and unskilled techies. Basically every possible recipe for disaster but so far no glitches..
Am loading scenes this weekend for HOW purposes and visiting engineers and will see if this results in any collapses.

I cant recall but I believe our power supply is properly sorted.

Can not agree more with the need for an offline editor. Upfront acknowledging that it was not available at purchase and was not expected at any point. Would just be a ‘very nice to have’ item.

In our church I act as Admin / System Engineer plus BE for certain worship teams; I also have 5 other techies with varying degrees of skill and/or time. They are lucky to spend an hour or two in a week at the desk (rehearsal plus Sunday Service). Generally, the time is spent unpacking gear from locked rooms, connecting everyones amps, guitars, mics, mic stands, monitors, DI’s etc (not joking) followed by 45 mins of changes to the ‘perfect’ setting from the night before.

This is not conducive to getting around the GLD and designing your own work flow and architecture. With an offline editor each team member could spend hours re-engineering their set-ups until they find that one glorious workflow that makes them happy.

Naturally, our first and bigget concern was working out the rigging and de-rigging, which is well underway.
