it reads the 1.8 no problem.  I use the same usb for the 1.9 and it doesn’t see it.  format and put 1.8 on it and it reads fine.   it’s very confusing.  no other usb I have will even be seen by the qu32.

thanks. I’ve followed all the steps. like I said, I just updated to 1.8. I formatted the drive using the qu menu. the. copied 1.9 to the usb and inserted it. it still says it doesn’t see the quu file.

Thanks for the response. The WM1641 just sits on a shelf, so it’s not in a rack. The XLR cables are 3′ long and aren’t looped (just straight out from the mixer). I just had the unit serviced locally and some capacitor was jacked up so they removed it and replaced it. But it still hums.. maybe another capacitor on the board? There are no transformers near the sound board other than the one a few hundred feet a way on a power pole by the street. I’m going to move the unit away from the other wireless systems We have about 5 wireless mic’s and in ear monitor systems all in that area but they’ve been fine. This just started out of nowhere it’s just this one mice set. I’ll check the noise gate, I was adjusting that before but it didn’t make a difference until I reduced the gain but when i reduce that it was so low that even having the volume at 100 for the channel didn’t matter because you couldn’t hear the mic when it was being used.

Great! So 2track is linked directly to our “house” the main L/R. I’ll check the menu’s for the Alt out. The book tells you what everything is but not really how to utilize it(which is why people go to school for audio/ audio mixing). I wish we had a budget to pay for someone to run our sound but it’s just me the IT guy that got roped into it 10 years ago lol. I just know the enough to be dangerous I suppose because I’ve taken the time to help & learn what I have myself. Thanks again for the information.

Thanks. I’ve read the manual, it’s not very helpful. It’s not that big.. 30 pages or something, whatever came with the board but not really much of a “how to use” kind of thing. the installers coming back tuesday for a follow up but I thought I’d check in here first. I’m a pretty quick learner, and what I can’t figure out there’a always youtube & forums. I’m at a small (less than 200) church so budget = next to nothing for pro help. I saw Alt Out has it’s own volume master, but i can’f find the Alt MIX, not the 2tkr MIX. I’ll check out the manual again as well. Thanks
