I hadn’t even noticed honestly…can’t remember the last time I had a need or wanted to format something other than NTFS so it’s new to me. Either way, I banged my head on the wall for a few days on this…figured maybe it would help someone else out. 🙂

I did my first acoustic gig with the Qu-16 and my new EAW RL12’s last weekend and found the EMT 250 HF Vocal stock preset was perfect for what we were doing. I figured I’d have to go in and jack around with the expert settings but I didn’t have to. And, even if you did you might be messing with a pre-delay or reverb time setting…that’s probably it.

As mentioned, one thing you could do is run a dry vocal through a channel – you can download a wav/mp3 off the internet through a channel and then start playing with the settings to see what they do.

I’m very picky about reverb and was using a TC Electronics 4000 with my last setup and spent a good hour tweaking the preset that I used for vocals on that box. I literally used the preset out of the Qu-16 and liked it better than what I had been using out of the TCe (which was also a 250 emulation).

    I’m betting you’ll have a similar experience.

i dont think so – after looking at it a little more it doesn’t seem to fit the need I was thinking. I was intrigued by the interface possiblity for DAW to replace some gear I already have but it’s not near as robust and initially i was thinking that this thing included the storage. Price tag is way steep for what it does. For an extra $700 you can have the entire Qu-16 console.

    Thanks folks. Lowe’s didn’t have a M4x8 but they did have a M4-.70 X 6 and that works fine.

I knew I’d seen that diagram somewhere but couldn’t remember. I didn’t download the getting started guide PDF but I have the full reference guide saved on my iPad and didn’t see it in there.

    Thanks so much.
