Nope i run cat 6 straight from gigabit port to dante module. I’m positive its something to do with setup as the tracks record but don’t sync, audio seems to jump around. is it possible its to do with the buffer sample size?

the reaal question is, do you need waves? i can’t think of any time i’ve need more than the built in fx. dante gives you more flexibility i think

I think they should have a trade up option, or something i dunno send of your gld80 and they’ll drop the guts into a 112 frame?

no groups, inputs are routed to DCA’s then out to main mix, I’ll double check the routing but fairly sure that the ST aux is routed to the right place, besides the changes to the dcas also effect the levels on the other foldback wedges but because they’re not getting somethings in the mix which my volunteer techs seem to fiddle with alot they don’t have the same apparent problem (that and no one else in the team is quite so particular about things as me.

Excuse my ignorance but would it be because a DCA technically doesn’t have anything going through it but acts as a relational fader to cover all channels routed to it? Although bearing that in miind shouldn’t setting the inputs to the aux as prefade negate this?

    Ok tried this, no luck.

HEre is the scenario. I play drums at my church and use a stereo aux into a mixer for foldback. I have all the sends to it set as pre fade, but when the guy doing sound makes a change to the dca it effects the level of what ever is feeding into the dca through my foldback. As im using in ears and am behind a shield, this throws me off alot as I cant whip out the in ears and rely on stage sound as all I hear is drums.

Is There a different way I should have the gld set up?

A trick i’ve found with the GLD is go to your parametric, do yourself a favour and buy yourself a samsung s-pen(they work! its amazing) and narrow the middle bands up and drag them up and sweep sideways till you find the offending frequencies. then pull them down until you don’t get feedback. Just remember a comfortable speech volume is about 65-70db. don’t try for 90.
