Here is one more person asking for a usable way to delete unused Show files.

In the latest daw control driver there is a second mackie option now, that fixed everything on my end. Are you running the latest driver?

If Allen & Heath ever starts doing this I volunteer to be a beta tester.

I have upgraded to 1.4.1, and unfortunately it did not fix the problem.

I’m hoping for the same, specifically for scribble strips that work and for the touch & turn knob to work over midi when a midi channel is selected.

I have never seen Aviom listed on a rider unless it’s on the list of products the band refuses to use. That said it doesn’t matter because whatever you have is still what you have.

We still have Avioms for now, but we also have the SQ for all our wireless mixes, and are slowly replacing all our Avioms with Dante headphone amps. Basically everything is routed in and out of the Dlive to Aviom (Dante), SQ, and Soundgrid for recording. Once the hearback system has scribble strips that would definitely be my “Personal Mixer” of choice. Aviom kind of forgot to do anything useful with their product for a lot of years. There are still plenty around, it just doesn’t mean anyone is happy about it.

I think you can use the same Soundgrid channel as an insert and a direct out, but I haven’t tried it. On the Dlive since the card is 128 channels I use 64 channels for plugins and 64 for recording, and so far I haven’t needed to do more than 64 channels (This week I came close though). Either way you would still be able to record over the USB connection and not need to touch Soundgrid up to 32 channels.

How would you find the preamp on a Dlive input if it isn’t assigned to a channel? The only place that preamp control lives is on the channel.

I am also wondering the same thing as Zero was asking about getting scribble strips to populate with the midi implementation on SQ. I think this might be the only surface I’ve seen that has the option to use it as a midi surface, has scribble strips, but won’t populate them. This takes a potentially very useful feature that SQ offers and cripples it to being nearly useless. Are there any updates in the works that would address this?

I tried sending C0,00 to tracks live and it does not create a marker. It does change the console back to scene 1, but it does not perform any function on tracks live. Record, play and stop are mapped and working from the d-live as well as scene control so the connection is there, it just doesnt actually do anything in tracks live.
