Sorry, seems like my picture did not attach the first time, let’s try again…
2016/03/29 at 6:21 am #54815@joel77 thanks for the info, I have managed to download all YouTube tutorials, including all the ones posted by Allen & Heath themselves.
I was hoping A&H would be following up with their audio training material “Part 2” 🙂
2016/03/28 at 7:37 am #54777Hi Guyz & Girlz.
Anyone know of any new/updated tutorial guides for the QU digital mixing desk/console?
@nicola thanks for the first round of tutorials, still loving it & training people here is ZA on it 🙂
Thanx Jay Kay
2015/09/26 at 9:10 am #50853Thanx Bob, how did I know you were going to be the first to reply & say “record your first” 🙂
Any chance you could point us in the right direction to obtain samples / training sets?
Thanx Jay 🙂
2015/09/26 at 8:29 am #50852Continuation to my last reply in this post/topic ….
I noticed Tutorial 5 (Scene 5) uses Soft Keys 1, 2 & 3, so I have moved my Play/Pause & the rest to Soft Keys 6,7 & 8 🙂
2015/09/25 at 11:08 pm #50846For what it is worth, if it ain’t to late 🙂
I found many video tutorials on Youtube, simply search for any keywords relating to your model on youtube,
like “Allen & Heath QU”, “A&H QU”, “QU Mixers”, “QU Digital”, “QU Mixing Desks” etc.2015/09/25 at 10:34 pm #50845Hi Nicola
Thanx for this QU training tutorial, awesome tool to have for newbee’s in training.
I edited each tutorial by adding “Play/Pause” functionality in Soft Key 1,
plus “Next” (forward) and “Prev” (reverse) in Soft Key 2 & 3 respectfully
in Scenes & “Stored” (saved) them in the Scenes Library Fixtures.
This is very useful & helps to pause the tutorial & go through the lesson in your own time,
with the aid of pausing, resuming, advances or going back to each 🙂Hope to see more tutorials from A&H, & where can one obtain multi-track samples of artist/band sets?
I am finding it hard to locate Qu-Drive multi-track samples on the web, but I am sure (ZAP)Bob will
probably tell me to lay down my own tracks or record our own band samples for Q-Drive 🙂Audiosure SA did give me one audio multi-track sample on purchasing my desk,
but it is driving my family up the wall with all the repetition/repeats 🙂2015/09/25 at 8:24 pm #50841Thanx Guys, points noted 🙂
I guess I am trying to have my bread buttered on both sides 🙂
& I should probably research & play with Parametric Equaliser (PEQ) more.Plus coming from Analogue into Digital at this late stage is proving to be
a little tricky 🙂 especially when you trying to get your head around the
digital PEQ interface. I think my biggest mistake was trying to learn digital
off a Yamaha 01V desk. I am not saying I can’t grasp the PEQ interface,
but when you have analogue turn dials hot-wired into your brain,
its a little more difficult to try reset PEQ on a digital, when a turn knob
is easier to grasp, but that’s probably down to me not playing enough on a digital desk. With all that being said, the Qu PEQ interface is far simpler & easier to understand
than on a 01V console 🙂Finally I do recall my sound techie saying that the LS9 Yamaha & Roland Mixers have GEQ on inputs?
but I speak under correction.Well that’s it from me. Thanx for your advise & pointers.
2015/09/25 at 6:06 pm #50833Will look into Airport Express & Airplay, thanx Bob. I guess one will have to get used to no MP3 playback feature & adopt other methods for audio playing of tracks 🙂
I do agree that the ST3 is a cool & practical substitute. I just wished MP3 was available, especially when my first gig on my new QU Mixer had my client come to me with a flash stick & wanted MP3 tracks to be played 🙂
I hear you Andreas, Maybe a Coffee Maker plug-in would be great too 🙂
I never once gave it thought to Licensing issues? As my other digital desks just had MP3 Audio support built in,
so I took it for granted.I initially struggled to find a way & means to post, as I was not in the sub Topic field,
& could not see the form for submissions as the main pages did not have the forms on them,
neither is there any submission/posting link in any of the drop down Tabs in A&H Community pages 🙂
hence why I thought it should be a little more easier to find it, but let’s not fuss too much,
thanx to my two helpers who pointed me in the right direction. And after posting my questions, I was able to find my listing immediately as I made sure all my keywords were properly Tagged in the posting field, & this will hopefully help others find this post & have their question answered, as other postings are not that well optimised in the search field 🙂
Thanx guys for your input, look forward to picking your brains soon with other trivial QU topics etc.
Kind regards, Jay Kay.
