Hey team,
There is no requirement to downgrade any console that has already successfully updated to V1.99. If the updater has completed successfully this will be announced at the end of the firmware update process before the console restarts.
If we thought there was any reason not to use V1.99 we would make it clear with a known issue. These are listed in the release notes.
The reason we’ve paused the release is to investigate information passed to us by one of our distributors and are currently awaiting the return of failed hardware to the UK for analysis. Unfortunately due to public holidays both in the UK and the country of origin this process has taken longer than expected.
Once we have completed the investigation we’ll update with more information. This will be via our website on the download page, a post in this forum, emails to those registered for email updates and posts to social media groups.
Any other questions please don’t hesitate to ask and I’ll do my best to assist.
2023/10/27 at 10:46 am #116075Hey Lobo,
The strip layout is recallable with a scene, if you use the recall filter to block all changes OTHER than the strip layout, you can then assign this to a softkey.
This effectively gives you a whole 6 layers per softkey, so 108 layers, or 1296 assignable fader strips in total, if you so wanted!
Otherwise you can always expand with an IP8 for additional faders.
In terms of additional screens, Director is designed to be used as an extension of the console if you want to have an additional screen with more infomation on.
If what you really want is an additional 12 faders AND another screen, you can always consider the Dual Screen Avantis!
2023/10/12 at 3:20 pm #115631Hey Simon,
Are you perhaps using the console in multisurface / via a gigaACE card rather than via the onboard gigaACE ports?
If so this could well be the source of the issue, you’ll need to either connect the Surface back to the gigaACE ports built into the MixRack, or patch the PAFL send to the headphones as per the multi surface guide. I’ve linked it here for your convieniance.

2022/09/14 at 12:29 pm #108996Hey Neil,
If you send us a ticket via support@allen-heath.com we’d be happy to send over some recovery instructions. We do normally insist on getting the serial number of the Waves card so if you can that would be excellent, but don’t wait to open a ticket up.
2022/02/17 at 4:52 pm #106076Hey Scotchy,
We don’t currently have an option for this, it’s a fairly all or nothing situation.
Can I ask why you’d like to be able to do this for our records?
2021/09/14 at 8:39 am #103418So, big news.

2021/03/26 at 1:23 pm #100176So just to follow up here, as we’ve been having a conversation about this on Facebook.
I just wanted to update those interested in the thread that we have been investigating this report over the past few days at A&H.
We have confirmed that the anti-aliasing filter on the M-DANTE card being used by Aaron (this is the iLive/GLD style card that requires an adapter to use with dLive) affects the frequency response starting at 19kHz. There is little to no reduction below 19kHz.
What we have found in the process of investigating this, is that the newer DANTE 96kHz cards, when running in 48kHz mode, have a less aggressive filter, which starts much earlier with a 1db reduction at 14kHz increasing to around 2dB at 20kHz then significantly increasing afterwards. We have identified a fix, which will be released in an upcoming version of firmware. There is no current ETA, but this is not expected to take a significant amount of time.
Please note the above only affects the DANTE 96kHz cards. The M-DANTE is unaffected.
2021/03/25 at 11:03 am #100127I must admit, it was just a copy and paste job on my part!
@nicola A&H did the actual work of making it!

2021/03/16 at 12:05 pm #99865Hey Jeff,
It shouldn’t take 20mins for sure, what point has it got stuck on?
What’s currently shown on the screen?
2021/03/16 at 10:46 am #99861I’m just putting the finishing touches to it. It will follow soon.
2021/01/28 at 1:08 pm #98414You’ll need the A&H driver too, which can be found my installing “Waves Central” you’ll need to search ‘all products’ (by default it’s only products you’ve purchased) and you’ll find the Allen & Heath Driver.
2021/01/23 at 9:33 pm #98304Hey Ben,
Jack here!
It was up on the main Believe in Music schedule of our website. I just thought I’d pop a message on Facebook.
I’ll certainly bare in mind putting something in here in the future, apologies to any that missed it.
The session was recorded I believe. I’m not entirely sure when it will be available, will have a word with the Marketing team on Monday and get back to you.
2020/11/26 at 3:00 pm #96612Hey Mat,
I hope you’re keeping well.
As you may be aware since April there have been a few issues have have got in the way of business as usual for a lot of companies globally both within the Pro Audio industry and outside of it, which has somewhat hampered our release schedule. We have in spite of this managed to get a few bug-fix releases tested and out the door. V1.1 for Avantis is currently the next firmware in the queue for release and is currently going through software testing, we’re currently expecting to release either late this year or very early in the new year. Though in the interests of clarity I must stress, this is just the current ETA, it is not a promise, or is it an ‘announcement’. Due to the nature of software testing if issues are found then the software must go back to the development team, this can take anything from a few hours to a few months depending on the complexity of the issue before another round of software testing begins.
We understand this is disappointing, and assure you that we are as disappointed as anyone and are working hard to remedy this, we also work hard to try and set realistic and honest expectations for firmware releases, whilst we have announced that Director for Avantis would come with v1.1, and v1.1 was originally planned for the end of last year / early this year, I can’t find any reference to it being promised for 2019 in the community or elsewhere, only ‘tentatively scheduled’.
If you’d be so kind as to open a ticket with the support team, someone would be more than happy to go through the issues you’re experiencing to ensure they are either remedied, or logged for future bug fixing. In particular any screen lag should be investigated as this is not a known issue with the console.
