…and I woke up realizing with the IDR devices you get DSP for channels but not for mixing busses… so its a half way solution…
Hello again Pit!
you totally nailed it!
Thats a ver good way IF you have free channels, anyways I would like to have the chance to do it trough softkeys or even having 2 talkback assignments, lets say, pressing once the TALK button and then the talkback is routed to some auxs (and the screen could show TALK 1 or TALK BAND instead of only TALK) and pressing twice you get assigned to the others but not both …(and the screen shows TALK 2 or TALK CREW) then pressing again you switch the talkback off…. something like toggling (no idea if this expression actually exists =P) between different assignments..
No, I need to talk to the stage crew that at the same time are listening to a dedicated IEM mix and walking around the stage.
=)
Hello Richard, actually I´ve learned that you can use stereo FX sends to use as stereo mixes (for 8 other stereo IEM mixes for example).
But just 5 minutes ago I downloaded the GLD Touchscreen reference guide where it says that you can have a MMO card connected to a IDR-8/4/OUT/DOut that is exactly what I was asking for =)
Its so sad there is not a second expansion card port in the GLD series!
Pit! sounds great, Right now im working with a session that has 11st IEM and more, so I had to use all the possible busses for IEM, LRM, etc, thats why i would like to know if there is any chance of doing the L/R without having to use matrices
Hello, thanks for all the answers, ill check again, Pit thanks for the detailed answer, I do know about the settings in the Multirack, and as i said in the Editor I can see the L and R inserts in different sockets…but not in the mixer… very strange…
Steffen how do you see L and R as separate??? like Pit L. I only see a Main stereo fader… it would be great to being able to mute L/R independently.
Ok! so I´ve found the trick, in the rear panel of the FX there is a little button where you can select if it is a SND-RTN or an Insert =) problem solved.
Thanks everyone!
Yes! That’s exactly how I remembered! Strange I didn’t find it last time…. I’ll take a look again asap!
