+1 for LPF
Low pass/hi pass both seem equally like musts…2019/06/03 at 4:59 am #84275Hey Albin,
In this thread the same thing is brought up and A&H replied there’s no access in the app right now: https://community.allen-heath.com/forums/topic/sq-v1-4-is-here/page/2“Hi All,
There is no access to the Library in SQ MixPad at the moment, but this will be added to the feature request list (if it isn’t already).
For anyone needing technical support, please start a ticket at support.allen-heath.com
Thanks!
Alex”2019/06/02 at 8:45 am #84242Yes, it seems like the best way would be to choose firmware in the app so the app has the support for the new and the old.
So, the app perhaps defaults to the new but somewhere in settings you can select a different firmware version.
2019/06/02 at 7:14 am #84240Hey Andy,
I think you pretty well summed it up, yes.
I went through the same thing with my XPS 13. It basically doesn’t work for audio purposes without tons of clicks and pops.
The usb ports on the left side and right side are actually different in terms of compatibility and the left side are thunderbolt while the right is not, so I got the SQ to work through the usb port on the right side of my xps 13, but the audio was completely unusable due to consistent popping and crackling sounds.
It works fine with a macbook pro.
I also have used a waves card in the sq to output and record audio to the same right side usb port on the same xps 13 and it worked perfectly. This was via a cat6 cable from the waves sq card plugged in to an ethernet to usb-c adapter plugged in to the usb-c port on the laptop (right side only, doesn’t work with ports on left that are thunderbolt usb-c) and using waves soundgrid drivers etc. Waves informed me technically this is not a supported/approved configuration into the xps, so they won’t guarantee it, however in practice it seems to work perfectly for me.
So yeah, in conclusion you don’t want to use the usb-b into a dell xps.
2019/06/01 at 7:27 am #84212@chibb I do share that concern. Is it true that the new versions of the apps don’t work with the old 1.3.2 version of the firmware?
Because the same thing happened where some phones and ipads automatically updated the app, some didn’t, depending on user preferences.Fortunately I got the email from Allen and Heath announcing the firmware update, so I had a heads up and determined after some research that it seemed safe enough to update the mixer firmware. Thus that potential issue was bypassed and it’s all good. But you bring up an interesting point that people could show up and have apps that don’t work anymore with no way to roll back versions on iOS app store.
What’s the solution here? Have the manufacturer release the updates as new apps, so there would be a separate app listing for firmware 1.3 vs 1.4? Have everyone turn off auto app updates?

2019/05/30 at 6:09 am #84121+1 on finding the library button, re: @TonmeisterDaniel
Is this possible? Love to load up DEEP plugins like the compressors in offline and have ability to save/recall presets for EQ’s etc.
So, anyone able to find the library button or figure out how to work with DEEP processing offline?
Thanks for the awesome ability to edit offline A&H, I’m starting to use it immediately
2019/05/30 at 6:00 am #84120Wow this is amazing. Huge deal getting the offline editor and these new improvements.
I have to echo @mfk0815‘s question — is it possible to instatiate DEEP plugins in the offline editor? I want to get all my compressors set up.
I read through the docs and tried for a while on MixPad. Would be amazing if there’s some access to the Library button for presets and the other DEEP plugs, FX units, etc. Will help greatly to dial in everything before the show while offline and hoping I simply missed a button somewhere in the app.
Thanks!!

Love to be able to set up shows in advance!

Still wanting to use with a UAD Live Rack which is MADI.
Thanks
2019/01/09 at 10:02 pm #81310Here’s another link to an online course: https://proaudiodvds.com/ultimate-live-sound-school-2/
2019/01/09 at 9:30 pm #81308Thanks
I managed to find 3 different sites. Nothing specific on training for SQ, which would be awesome, but here is some online sound training I found:
SoulSound – https://www.soulsound.co.uk/
Sound Design Live – https://www.sounddesignlive.com/
MxU – https://mxu.rocks/mxu-now/2019/01/04 at 4:48 am #81231USA, but online/videos preferred
