I would have thought the compression/EQ/Effects etc already in cubase (or third party) would provide good results without the hassle of trying to integrate i/o and automation with the iLive.

Actually they do. I’d still prefer to use real faders though, If only I could get auomation to work.[:D]

Are there any tutorials on midi setup available?

    Cheers!

I have been using the automation in Cubase but I also like how I can add a bit more gain using the iLive preamps.

So option C seems to be working at the moment.

Wow, I just finished a two day festival just using an idr10 hooked to a computer. iLive editor ver. 1.61 was flawless and the system sounded pristine on a EV X-Array system for FOH.
I had a 24 inch screen which was big enough to cater for the Mix channels on the top half of the screen and the IP’s on the bottom half of the screen.
The new super strip came in handy also the new Soft key strips which I assigned 7 DCA mutes and 1 Tap delay.
In some ways I found the setup/configuration much faster on the software.

One question; Is it possible to hook up two computers to an IDR10. One for FOH and one for monitors???

    Thank you.

The Digigram LX6464ES card is a very good investment for recording. It gives you 64 ins and 64 out.The audio quality is amazing.

Block assignments for preamps would be most welcome.

Example: Select preamps for ips 1 to 32 and assign ESB Channels 1 to 32 to ip 1 to 32.[:p]

    Try this:

Just go to scenes and select >Edit > Mix Channel Processing > Aux.Send Source.

Edit your scene saves to suit your needs.

I’m not sure though if the scene edits are per scene or global. If it is global, then it would also affect foh scene savings.

Since your in Australia, you most probably got your ilive from TAG. Why don’t you give them a call and ask for Silvio Miconi. His the tech guy at TAG.[:)]

Finally got to do some recordins with the ilive/Digigram combination.
Got the band to listen to the playback afterwards. We were all just amazed with the quality of audio. Just awesome!!!

CORRECTION: The system is best configured from the first device in the network which in this case is the IDR10(ESB IN) and not the IDR0 as I originally stated in my first post.
