I can understand the wish. It would be nice to have this feature, but: Its not implemented.
If you need this function, you have to make a decision: Qu-16 & Workaround oder another mixer. The Qu-16 is a great mixer and it works very good for my in my home studio and on stage. If i had the choice to buy a new digital mixer today, it probably would be the same decision for Allen & Heath. For me it is a question of trust in Alen&Heath and bad experience with other brands.
Maybe, but i think the chance is low, A&H will make a solution for your problem.
2014/10/15 at 7:37 am #42225It should be possible to route the signal over CH1 into your DAW and send it through the DAW-Channel with your plugin back to CH2 (USB). But of course you have a latency.
2014/07/08 at 2:19 pm #40673Thank you for this very good update!
But i agree with the opinion that an iPhone and iPad App for the AUX channels would be a great feature – especially for bands without an sound-engineer. In fact: I had a Presonus 16.02 mixer and i was very satisfied for the price. I liked the Channel Strip technology – a real good mixer. But as is bought the Qu-16 the first impression was the much more better sound, the great effect sections and the great possibilities with the motor faders. For me the QU-Series from Allen & Heath is the best mixer in this price class. The sound of the mixer ist really fantastic – and this is the most important thing on a mixer.
I use the Qu-16 the most time in my home studio and i like the DAW functions so much. Thank you for this great product. Last week i bought a ZED-10FX for small gigs and i wondered how good this little mixer works and sounds. In the past i was a big fan of Presonus and Yamaha Mixers – this opinion has changed. I am very satisfied with products from A&H. And the best is: The products become more and more functions for free i didn’t expected. THANK YOU 🙂
2014/06/24 at 9:55 pm #40369I think, it would be no problem to build an Qu-16 sized mixer with 32 channels. You just need more layers and of course more connections. The question for me: If somebody need 32 channels – is there not a little bit more space for mixer? In some cases it would be good, but i would prefer all channels in one layer.
What IS interesting: A rack version like the x-32 Rack with computer remote.
A remote software für Windows and Mac would be great. This would be solve a lot of problems, especially for channel naming and better overview. For an Qu-32 compact this would be very useful.

But what does bank control mean?2014/06/21 at 10:41 am #40293The Qu-32 is a very god news for all Qu-Users, because now we have a big product range in this model: More Users, more Support – and probably more functions. Looking forward new firmware versions.
2014/06/20 at 1:00 pm #40281Third layer with 16 more input and 8 more output channels with the new outbreak box :-)?
Nobody nows…2014/06/19 at 7:45 pm #40276I think it comes with the InfoComm and the Qu-32 Mixer. Maybe they need a little bit more time to make the changes für the Qu-32 .
