Seriously, when!

dx-hub would fit three DX168 on any SQ5/6/7? That’s fine.
Seams more practical to me. It’s more convenient spreading multiple stage boxes on stage accompanied with shorter analog cables, then having just one big MixRack carried around most of the time by two peoples along with a mass of very long expensive cooper cables around the whole stage. A literal pain for any 48ch or less projects. It’s all about time and space saving.
I would say again, small pain big gain.
I’m glad that AH it continues fulfilling my aspirations 😊
Thank you guys.
PS Art, have a nice one 👍
Hi there everyone,
I’m looking for 48ch. 96kHz system + DX48 MixRack or (3x) DX168 @ the stage.
It’s that possible right now with SQ5/6/7 systems?
What would be the most trusted scenario regarding SQ vs DX options?
I invariably prefer the sound of AH and the workflow, programming, support and even the detailed printed Owner Manuals of Yamaha consoles but that’s me.
We would like to use
v1 – GLD 112 + AB168 + AB168 + AB168 (48 inputs, 24 outputs on stage) – which fits the best our need
v2 – GLD 112 + AR2412 + AR2412 (48 inputs, 24 outputs on stage)Please let me know if this config will work.
Here is the answer from Nic.
Hi,
The possible configurations are explained in the GLD Chrome User Guide.
The main dSNAKE device can be an AR2412 or AB168.
The daisy chained dSNAKE device can be an AB168 or an AR84 (not a second AR2412).
The local Expander can only be an AR84.So the short answer is no, the configurations you are suggesting will not work I’m afraid.
Best regards,
Nic

Dan Tore, very well pointed.
That’s true, we need this update. There are 4k displays for smartphones! We should expect this update for editor?
Mix with your ears, not your eyes.
The same question for iLive system.
No, you’re not wrong… Unfortunately!
