    Jerry –

Your “sound installer” seems to have an agenda of some type, who knows. I’ve been using an LS9/32 since they were available in the US (late 2006), and my iLive-T112/idr48 (& R72/idr32) sound better – cleaner, more “open”, and comparing these to a GL3200 (2200? 3300?) is just ignorant.

There is a reason you haven’t heard any negative feedback about the iLive sound quality…

    My opinion.

    Dan –

No, but it would be nice…

What I do is “select” the involved DCA group, then tap the assigned vocal channel on the touch screen, which unmutes it. That’s 2 taps, which makes this a pretty quick procedure.

    Thanks, folks –

The Sommer looks good, but I don’t need the power cable, so I’ll investigate the possibility of a setup with the cat6 + twisted pair only. I’m anxiously awaiting the delivery of my new kit!

    Thanks again,

Thanks for your replies – all I’m looking for is a multi cable snake that will give me the ability to transmit ACE, DMX, plus 2 pairs. I could get a 4 channel snake to add to the ACE cat5 line, but I’m really interested in using 1 cable, not 2 (or more). I’ve been told that it’s possible to use a cat5 cable for 3 or even 4-pair lines, but I want to make sure I’m not going to end up with issues of some sort.

If anyone is doing this, I’d like to hear your experience…

    TIA,

    -Tim Tyler

Could you not mix the house from the matrix outs (using matrix eqs) and record from the L-R outs (eq bypassed)?
