Appreciate the feedback! I was hoping not to layout extra cash while trying to solve this but picked up a used ART S8 today. curious though; why NOT send from the QU mix outputs if available?
2016/01/19 at 8:33 pm #53379Dcrann11ParticipantSadly no – 4 mono mix returns. I believe the FOH guy would be happier on his tradition gear and thats fine. I appreciate your info.
Truth be told going buying the qu16 and going in ear and being spoiled by the nice stereo spread with control right on stage has been a game changer for the band.thanks!

Here is some more detail;
FOH will be using a standard snake from the stage.
We are keen to use our own monitoring setup as mentioned. The me’s do not impact using any mix outputs (with the obvious setting the gain stage)
Rather than getting a snake splitter of some kind it makes sense to me to send everything out the qu mix outputs to the stage snake. We are practically able to do this 1 to 1 as as we only use 11 inputs when gigging anyway so a couple of inputs would need to be grouped on the mix outputs (bg’s and toms?)
One of our guys takes a wedge and so I thought this could be returned from FOH
I have not done this before and wondered if anyone could give me a heads up on anything. I am admittedly learning as a band leader typically doing our own live sound. Feedback is appreciated. Thanks !

2014/07/27 at 2:37 pm #41077Dcrann11ParticipantOk – I struggled with this for quite some time with my gen 1 AE
Here’s what worked for me – as soon as I switched the setting to JOIN EXISTING NETWORK (my home wifi)- instead of CREATING A CLOSED NETWORK- it joined immediately. No idea why. None of the other steps worked for me unfortunately as listed earlier.
2014/06/26 at 7:14 pm #40390Dcrann11Participantok success but not sure how
instead of setting the the airport express to extend a network rather than create a network and the qu pad saw the qu-16.
did i miss something? i am not creating a unique network for the qu?thanks for the responses
2014/06/26 at 5:34 pm #40389Dcrann11ParticipantThanks Nicola
I followed the link to the help page
But couldn’t see where to open a ticket.
I’m failing all over the place here!2014/06/26 at 3:18 pm #40386Dcrann11ParticipantChecking now – with DHCP enabled the IP listed at the bottom of the diagnositics screen is blank – no address?
2014/06/23 at 3:16 am #40317Dcrann11ParticipantI tried following the airport setup instructions and again the qu app doesnt see the qu-16.
at a loss here.2014/06/22 at 4:45 pm #40314Dcrann11ParticipantThank you for the timely responses. I have attempted to manually set the AI with no luck. It is one of the older airports that can plug directly in. I will try the above manual settings and sets for remote setup but i have a feeling that it wont take.
Another newbie question here if ok as it is a simple one – can i pad the inputs on the preamps? i am trying the qu-16 with a mic’d up drum set. the tom mics (beta 98’s 48v) are super hot and at times clipping. I am sure there must be a way but i dont see it.
great group here. many thanks
