    Ah totally forgot:
    Mixing Station Pc/Osx can act as a protocol converter between OSC/REST and the mixer. This allows other software which only can communicate with OSC to work with any supported mixer.
    An example use case would be theater automation with palladium or QLab. While it’s true that you could just use the TCP Midi driver provided by A&H the API provided by mixing station is cross mixer compatible. This means if you have your QLab show configured with mixing station you can change to any other supported mixer and most of the commands will still work.
    Currently the documentation for this is quite rough so if you are an advanced user and interested check it out here: https://dev-core.org/ms-docs/integrations/apis/
    Don’t worry, I plan to make this documentation easier to understand.

    Hi everyone,
    I thought I post an update about the latest changes of Mixing Station.
    – It is possible to download mixer layouts created by other users. This is especially helpful when you want to get started fast. Only requirement is a mixing station account.
    It is also possible to backup your settings directly to your account.
    In the future this feature will be expanded to cross mixer channel presets as well. This means that you will be able to store a channel preset for any supported mixer, and load it on any other supported mixer (as long as no special plugins are used). This is especially helpful when you work with different mixers and want to access your presets on any of them.
    – Full Mackie Control Midi support (including Metering and LCDs). This means that you can connect any MCU compatible midi controller and use it to control mixing station / your mixer.
    – Fully customizable channel strip. This allows you to reorder and resize the channel strip as you like. If you want you can even get rid of the fader.
    – Layers can automatically scale if you change the channel count. This makes it very easy to change the number of visible channels.

    Coming up in v1.1.0:
    – Load/save all channel and FX presets
    – All free FX types are now accessible from the app.
    – Multi window support for the PC/Mac version.

    A more detailed explanation about the new features can be found here:

    Happy mixing!

    Quick update:
    A early test version is now available:
    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.davidgiga1993.mixingstation.ah_sq

    the pro version will follow shortly:
    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.davidgiga1993.mixingstation.ah_sqpro

    As it’s a test version there are some limitations:
    – All basic mixing parameters, input routing and RTA is available.
    – You’ll see all 12 mix and group channels, regardless of the mixer configuration.
    – No personal monitor mode yet available

    If you only want to keep the same monitor level but don’t care about the rest, just select “sends”
    If you also want to keep the threshold levels of the compressor, select it as well

    Sorry for the late reply!
    I just got my SQ-5 today and already started digging in the network data. From now on it’s a lot of trying out stuff and fully documenting the protocol. Afterwards I’ll add it to the app.
    The timeline for a very crude test version might be 2-3 weeks depending on how much time I find

    Sorry for the late reply!
    The next mixer in the queue would be either the SI performer or Sq. I initially planned the SI first since the sq has a official android/ios app which is more usable than the one from soundcraft.
    Also implementing the protocol for the SI is much faster since there is a specification available.
    I already know that the SQ uses a similar protocol than the Qu but in the end I need to find each and every parameter which takes a lot of time and effort.

    Thanks!
    Yes as of now it’s only available as pro version. The intent behind this was to cover the cost of the mixer.
    I plan to release a free version for personal monitor mixing.

    Well, in general yes it’s possible but the issue is that I need a dLive system for quite some time to implement
    the network protocol and the mixer specific features into the app.

    Yes 1.93 is supported in the app, it’s worth a shot

    @glenn:
    The amazon store does not provide access to the crash reports anymore. The menu entry just disappeared some weeks ago.
    Therefore I can’t get the stack traces if your issue :/

    @nottooloud:
    I could not reproduce this issue on my Qu16. I’ve connected the AR2412 as well as the AR84 extender.
    I’ve changed the routing to:
    Local 1 -> Ch 1
    SB1 -> Ch2
    SB2 -> Ch3
    SB3 -> Ch4
    SB4 -> Ch5
    SB5 -> Ch6
    ..
    Each of the gains worked independently and showed the same values as on the mixer.
    Can you check if you also got this issue with the routing I’ve posted?

    Hi,

    which FW version on the Qu are you using?
    I’m also using kindle devices for testing and couldn’t find an issue yet.
    Sadly amazon provides no access anymore to crash reports at the moment so I’m a little bit in the dark.

    Hi Frank,

    latest changes can be found here:
    https://bugs.dev-core.org/w/ms/qu/changelog/

    Note that the beta versions might get new features / hotfixes without increasing the version number.

    Yep, FW 1.94 does fully work with the current app version. You just need to dismiss the warning dialog.
    I’ll add proper support this firwmare with the next update so the dialog does not appear again.

    No that’s not possible as the mixer does not send the information which page is currently shown

    Thanks I’ll take a look at the gain reduction issue. Which FW version are you using?

    In the latest version there is a limit for 2 devices. Thats because certain data for QuDrive can only be accessed when identifying as ipad. I’ll add an option in the future so you can disable QuDrive access. This will allow the old ~6 devices in parallel (+2 iPads).

    Thanks! The crashes will be fixed with the next update. I’m working on the Qu-Drive functionality atm.

    SQ: Yes it’s planned to develop an SQ series version. It seems like the protocol used by the SQ is pretty similar.

    Regarding the Soundcraft Impact: I already got a internal prototype for the Soundcraft Expression. In general the protocol used by the soundcraft mixers is faster to implement since there is at least some documentation available.
