Its not a mix at 0 bs as was suggested and it does allow for the signal in the FOH mix to be increased, all it does is reduce the signal in the foldback to maintain the same level if it didnt do this then you can end up with feedback issues thru the foldback. You may see it as counter productive but if you get on an avid console then you would understand it.

microphone doesnt change it usually is the performer changes part way through a show due to injury or other problem and the substitute has a voice at a different level. To maintain the same volume in the foldback or in ears when the channel gain is increased the output sends from the channel reduce to keep the level consistent and the same if the gain is reduced then the output sends increase to compensate. if the output is o then there is no change it only happens when the output is above zero. I dont have the manual with me but will look it up and see if it describes it better.

It could be getting confused by the existing software they install on them as had similar problem and once fortated on a pc it would then recognise it ok

Ahh so he wanted to use a larger format screen to show all the meters at once, but the screen resolution is fixed so dont think that would be possible unless it was not a mirror of either of the two existing screens but that would get complex as then you would need to be able to adjust the resolution of that output seperatley.

input>gain>thru to>Mix Fader> Mix output……if gain at in put is changed(up or down) then the output level tracks in the reverse direction so the out put to that aux outputs remains consistent. otherwise it requires you to change the fader (and therefore the output) manually, unfortunately Avid call it gain compensation id probably call it gain tracking. Ill look up the description in their manual if you like it might be clearer.

Yes you can scroll each side seperatley but they are not saved in the scene settings it always resets to starting at input 1m and you have to then scroll across which in a busy show can be a problem if the scene function is used, again not a big thing but would be nice to ba able to save them as part of the scene as you could then have them move to show the important meters for that scene.

SC 48, D show and Profile all have had it for a long time even the new S3l and S6L have it, not an important thing but useful all the same.

Yes they are scrollable but not able to set say the South left screen to show inputs 1-30 and the south right to say aux outputs and save in the scene settings as a template

Sorry might have been a bad way of putting it, on the Avid consoles if there is aux outputs assigned to an input (ie foldback or in ears) and the gain is increased due to performer being at a lower volume than during sound check so the gain needed to be increased then the assigned then they would reduce their output accordingly. Note only theaux outputs not the Main L/R outpu

Would also be good to be able to set a range of meters for display at the bottom of each screen

Just a couple of thoughts instead of having the seperate in(on) buttons why not set up the LF,LM,HM,HF titles as the enable function then it could be greyed out when not engaged. Also the Thres, Gain, Ratio for the BD4 and the Gain/Freq, Width, Thres for the Dyn EQ4 would make more sense if they were mapped direct to the rotary encoders below this would simplify the screen some what.
