This is looking great.
I was at the TC Furlong (console presentation) manufacturer rep show a few months back, and had a discussionn with the rep for the Dlive which mentioned a “surprise” in January. Not specific.I have been seeing many manufacturers for certain consoles, offer loyalty upgrade programs for newer version consoles.
As small business owner, the product life cycle of consoles has been challenging.Has any consideration been given to current owners of iLive, to upgrade to DLive?
My guess would be no.
2016/05/27 at 11:34 am #56116yes, if it made sense financially. That would be considered brand loyalty.

I agree with all of that, and with most of the other comments the past few days.
Those examples were purely points in reference to my subject. Whether it is current or past, the manufacturers want to keep those customers using their branded products. You are absolutely correct, they are fine companies with first rate products and they continue to be that way.
It’s an idea that I would well receive, and I think others would too.
I look at it as an opportunity for A&H to get the DLive in more hands of companies small and large.
My initial post may have stood some hair up some necks, but frankly… if the GLD is the mid tier from this brand going forward, they may be missing out on some sales.
2016/02/21 at 11:09 pm #54110Mervaka, you are exactly right.
The business acumen that resulted in a good outcome, was for some manufacturers to recognize that brand loyalty was key to providing upgrade programs.
The customer voice is always a factor for improvement efforts. There are many iLive users and I am sure many would welcome such a program or a reconsideration of that announcement of no further development. Maybe they should of asked the users.?
I would spend money on hardware or software upgrades.
If it was “crap” I would have sold off a long time ago, and not bothered to post anything.

This post is not a comparison to capabilities or benefits of each manufacturer.
There are many options available, and who knows if hardware upgrades are coming to ilive. I don’t. But I hope they will.I do see where some companies have recognized that brand loyalty is important and offer incentives to keep customers.
2016/02/20 at 1:56 pm #54085Modular, yes. T series, no.
2016/02/20 at 1:55 pm #54084Both Yam*** and Dig*** are offering current owners of their products incentives to upgrade.
2014/06/26 at 12:44 am #40383Well, I have not seen or heard of any mass exodus “yet” of people unloading their iLive rigs.
That does not mean dealers or distributors are not dumping inventory. If in fact there is going to be a replacement, I really hope they do a similar program like Ya***a with a trade up policy for T-Series.
It is disappointing not seeing any discussion from staff on the topic.
2-1/2 years ago, a forum staff member did in fact state, there were no plans on discontinuing iLive. This was around when GLD was arriving. It does not necessarily mean that thought process has changed today, especially since they have new owners. I cannot find the archived post, as you cannot search that anymore- but I did get as far as this one.
I agree with DrewM, someone at A&H should at least hint or say something.
This is another reason to rethink the brand, if in fact we are getting hosed.
2014/06/01 at 3:23 pm #40005C4 had failed on my iDR-48 last year, same issue- low gain, increasing the trim level would result in a sudden signal spike at around the 3:00 position.
I sent mine in, and had the entire C row card replaced.
I specifically ordered the F card moved up to the C position, and replaced the F row with the AES card. Had them send back the original C card too. I convinced myself that the defect turned into an upgrade for the mixrack. They tested all inputs and outputs, all working 100%.2014/03/18 at 11:09 pm #38381It has been quiet for months.
Ever since GLD was introduced, I sensed that the possibility of end of life cycle was near for iLive. I certainly do not want to create any consternation or fear, but prices have gone down on many digital mid range systems. If it is true, and we are near the end, that would be the shortest life cycle I personally have seen yet. I then wish I would have went another direction, as the Y****a users at least can trade up. Spent a great deal of time promoting iLive, and I hope I don’t see depreciation any faster then normal.2013/11/01 at 11:32 am #35770They do, both in the Forum categories and in the global Recent Activity page. Have you tried reloading the page?
I meant within the iLive forum only.
It is an option under forums, yes- but mixed with all of the other catagories- GLD, MU, etc.2013/11/01 at 2:11 am #35762Tried that. Look at the USA map. Depressing.
2013/11/01 at 2:08 am #35761i thing iLive is asleep. Everyone is over at the GLD forum. 🙁
2013/11/01 at 2:06 am #35760It would be nice if the most recent topics would refresh on the top of the page like the old site.
2013/10/25 at 12:59 am #35616I would hope we would get those effects too.
