    Well,

I could use the manual mute switch…

The rest, as the console is out of my reach, I’m sitting in front of a GS-R24m, so the qu is on the far side of the desk for que mixing only.

    Well,

Don’t know your budget…But here I use ME-1’s for most my monitors (Except guest monitors i the control room).

Not super cheap, but less expensive than top of the line hearing aids 🙂

    Well,

Thats an issue that needs to be fixed then!

Having sen this more than once…and people (BOB) knowing exactly what happened…

Let’s get AH an idea on how to make it more “User friendly”….Yeah I hate that phrase…But!

    Should be addressed 🙂

    Well,

    Many ways to accomplish this…

I use ubuquiti access points and products…but most brands have these devices these days…

    Wired…
Use a small switch (Layer 2) to connect the devices…
    One connection to the qu…
One connection to each access point…
Configure each access point with a different ip address…but on same subnet…ex. 192.169.1.10 and 192.168.1.11 etc.
Configure each access point with same SSID (wifi name) but a different channel to not interfere with each other…depending on your country you may have 3 or 4 non overlapping channels on the 2.4Ghz band and more on the 5Ghz band
Note…you can get access points with both bands or just one of either…
You can put up as many access points as you need to cover the area…just get a cat5 line there (and power if not a Poe access point)

Wireless is a bit more setup…bit not much…
You setup everything like wired…but the Ethernet cable will be replaced with a wireless bridge..
So, you will have another radio at each end of where your cables would have plugged in…
Note…use a different channel or better yet radio band for the bridge to avoid interference…

I’ve installed networks for over 20 years for a living, so if you need exact or more info, let me know…

Not an apple airport fan…too limited for my taste…but they do work…

    So,

Did you ever get this resolved…

    Perhaps a vlan for me-1 units…

I’m interested in this as I have one room that has a sg300-20 installed for Dante…

Would be nice to use a vlan for the 5 me-1’s…

    Gracias

    Well,

    Iirc…

Goto page 66 in the manual (v1.7) …this is the setup for the me patch Channels…

The default is listed a couple pages before…

Anyhow, you can just assign an unused mix to the me systems and assign talkback there…

    Talkback assign is page 57…

You don’t need to route a line back in via a cable…

Ex. Assign talkback to mix4, and assign mix4 to monitor channel 40…

    Well,

Try looping to a clean track…

There must be some missing samples and pt is puking on it…

If it plays, play it and record it “real time” not a bounce to a new track…should work from there…

Ive seen this on other files, never from a qu…

    Now,

On windows (current versions) you cant format fat32…I know in your first post you did say so….

But download a free app and format again on pc as fat32…

Run it through a check disk (full)…

Beyond that, it’s difficult to find the exact same drives…even one sandisc xxx 8gb…may later get a revision that causes issues….

My suggestion to everyone, best luck has been the extreme…

Once you get one that works, order two more of the exact same part number…

Computer parts (built in china) get cost saving revisions all the time that course issues…That’s just an annoying fact!

Hopefully you can return it as well, try another one…

Lastly, there is much better luck on all accords with hd vs sticks…if you have an old 2.0 hard drive try that too…

I know many have been using the SanDisc extreme USB 3.0 drives of varying sizes for both recording and playback…

As for why the files “skipped”, there is a myriad…

First after copy defrag the drive…sometimes the OS likes to copy multiple files and seems to interleave them on the drive…not so good for a streaming application…

Next, just double check that the files you grabbed are the right bit rate and depth…some daws automatically resample them and that’s not good either…

Lastly, check drive for any bad sectors and errors…

Repeat the test too…sometimes things happen…

Remember the application here doesn’t have much for buffs on the console, and not a big processor for this either…and streaming is very picky over latency…

    Well,

I see what your sayin….USB 3 is on most computers…

But, you wouldn’t be complaining if it was FireWire…even though that’s older!

Being version 2 it’s reliable and mature…I’d bea bit worried ifit was Ver 3 only!

    Paul,

I assume your talking about import/export to USB…

    In the v1.6 manual

Read page 55-56 it will tell you how, and show you the directory structure…

    If still confused….
Export some to USB….and look around…it’s not super complicated…

But, will take quite a few screen shots, and I’m not even sure what OS you using…

Lastly, report back, or ask questions if still stuck

    Bob,

Like a display of each mix, with the levels assigned, and pan?

Might be nice to have that on pc, intend of flip on the console…

Perhaps a nice page showing all 7 possibles with mini meters for all 40 inputs…

    Well,

    Based on your pic…

There isn’t a pan on the mix outs…

    Mix 1-4 are mono…the rest are stereo…

The stereo ones follow the mixing of the assigned channels…

Ex. If you want channel one hard left you do that on channel 1…

Select inputs then on right select mx5-6 and adjust the pan…

    Seven,

I see the Sven coming from the seven mixes it controls…

    Mix 1-4 (4 mono mixes)
    Mix 5-10 (3 stereo mixes)

I haven yet run more than 4 iOS devices at once…

I’d hope that perhaps it will allow more than 7 devices…it would be nice to have a mirrored device in some cases…

    Can anyone test?
