So I got my clicks and pops to go away.
I found out where LLDP and ISDP are managed in the switch software and disabled everything to do with them globally and at each port I had set up in the VLAN. This seemed to get rid of all the pops and clicks so far.
2022/01/29 at 11:11 pm #105699Update…
Set up a VLAN and now have audio and channel names but I am having a single pop sound every 8-10 seconds…any idea where I should look to fix that in the management software?

MacBook can sustain a wireless connection while iPad struggles but reconnects immediately. I don’t notice the problem as much at home in tests so I figure it has to be something with other wifi. I’m still on ios5 and 1.83 but was going to upgrade in the next couple of weeks as I have a quite a few shows through December 19. I’m not the best with networking once it gets deep but please give me any setups or tests you would like me to run and I will. I want to get to the bottom of this as soon as possible so we can get a stable setup with known settings.
2012/11/02 at 9:42 pm #31903Andy,
Is the wifi and communication being updated in onemix or with the mix pad app and iPad in 1.9?
2012/11/02 at 2:37 pm #31895I never upgraded either. Same IOS as before.
2012/11/02 at 4:14 am #31892I am having ipad dropouts much more frequently as of late. The thing is that when the new mix pad update came out it worked well for 6 weeks and then all of the sudden I am having trouble again with droputs. I am using the same apple airport extreme. I use both 5ghz and the normal channel. Could it be something that got changed? Is there anyway to trouble shoot it? thanks
2012/09/13 at 3:37 am #31368How does one go about turning multicast on for the IDR if not using a console?
2012/09/13 at 3:18 am #31367I don’t use a console. It’s on the iPad…not sure if I have multicast on. What does that allow?
2012/07/26 at 7:42 pm #31063Had two iPads and MacBook pro hooked up (no surface) and no problems. The iPads actually went to sleep quite a few times and worked uninterrupted when they were awoken. Good job A&H!!!
2012/07/19 at 4:01 am #31013Has anything been added to let you know when you have lost connection?
2012/05/01 at 7:08 am #30460In the Allen and Heath training video they plug the laptop directly into the Ethernet network connections and not the Ace connection. I thought ACE was for a control surface.
Btw, it worked when I disabled wifi on the MacBook.
2012/05/01 at 2:36 am #30457I have also tried another cat5 cable that I know is functional.
2012/04/13 at 5:35 pm #30364One question I just thought of…
1. Mac vs PC for laptop editor…any difference…pros cons?
2. What connection does the laptop need to have in order to connect to the mixrack…I’m assuming it is an Ethernet.
