IIRC there is no way to change the max. number of letters due to hardware reasons. That is simply the way the mixer is build.
But with a bit of experimentation, you´ll find short descriptions (especially in conjuntion with colours) for everything you need.Cheers,
André2022/04/12 at 1:22 am #106800Hi Lozion,
that is sadly correct. The ME units work at 48kHz and your DX168 is a 96kHz device. Cheapest solution: IIRC, You could purchase an optional SLINK Card and connect your ME-1 to it. More expansive: AB168, AR2412 and the GX4816 (which is also 96kHz, but has a dedicated ME output) are the stageboxes that can be directly connected to ME units.
Cheers
André2022/04/05 at 6:08 am #106701Did you tell Logic to use the SQ as your Input/Output device?
Channel 47/48 (Labeled USB by default) are configured to receive audio via USB 1&2 which corresponds to the stereo out of Logic.
Is the USB cabel working?2022/01/12 at 1:07 am #105329Hi Andi,
the processing (PEQ, GEQ and Comp) you can control with SQ4You is the processing of your mixbus. In other words: the processing effects your mix globally and not your individual channels.
If you want control over the processing of individual channels like kick, snare, etc. you (or your soundengineer) will need to copy those to unused channels. You can then download the SQ MixPad App and control those completely. Be aware: The maximum is 3 MixPad apps and 5SQ4You apps, IIRC.Hope that helps a bit!
Cheers
André2022/01/07 at 10:38 pm #105264Hi Sholasleek,
yes, you will have then 24 outputs. The AR2412 for example has 12 outputs. If you were to daisychain an AB168 from the AR2412 you add another 8 outputs. That would max out the limit for the 48kHz stageboxes (40in 20out). So, toghether with your local outs you would then have 32outs. I attached the i/o connection sheet from A&Hs knowlegde base.
Hope that helps a bit
Cheers

maybe you can better decide, if you hear some examples. On my Youtube channel are some.
I personally like the Bucket Brigade more, since I have control over the delay time.
Have fun
André2021/12/12 at 9:56 pm #104879Hi almabes,
Keith stated in last weeks SQ&A episode (december 9th, 2021), that it will not be possible to have more than 6 characters due to hardware “limitations”.
Here is the link to the video on youtube:

André2021/11/08 at 8:38 pm #104386Hi grayday,
there was a bug in an older firmware, that when you record over USB AND had the RTA active the screen could freeze but everything else still worked fine.
Also people mentioned here having an older router with too much data traffic did freeze the board.
So check the folling:
Did you record to USB when the board froze? If yes, try if your mixer is stable without recording.
Was the RTA running? Switch it of and check, try if your mixer is stable.
Do you have a decent router? Try an other (maybe newer & faster) one.
How many Pads/Phones where connected? The maximum is 3 MixPad apps and 5SQ4You apps, IIRC.If nothing solves your problem sent the showfile with a good description to support@allen-heath.com. Alex (the support guy) is usually very quick in responding.
Hope it helps a bit.

André2021/11/08 at 8:22 pm #104385Hi colleagues,
I did a video Interview with Keith for my YouTube channel and I did ask him directly if there´s a SQ Pac in the works.
Interview with Keith Johnson of A&H, part 1At 26:00min he talks about it as far as he can go (without loosing his job).

SQ Libraries2021/10/13 at 3:04 pm #103990Hi sonxabi,
if you want to change the inserts in mixpad go to the FX return and switch to back panel. There you can insert the effect into inputs, outputs, groups etc.
Cheers,
André2021/10/02 at 9:29 am #103774Hi Ken,
No, AB168 is working with 48kHz, the DX boxes with 96kHz. You can´t daisychain two boxes with different sample rates. You could however buy the optional SLink card and have the internal SLink port work with the AB168 and the additional SLink card with the DX168. The sample rate conversion is done in the cards.
But you would have to buy another Cat5e cable…Cheers,
André2021/09/27 at 10:58 am #103687@Hugh: I noticed I have to turn the touch screen encoder quite a bit, before it changes the ratio values. But it does change it. Can you try to give the encoder a full turn and see if it changes the ratio?
Cheers, André
2021/09/22 at 9:02 am #103596I support this request! Even if waves has still not released drivers for the m1 Macbook and the waves card in my SQ is just a dust cover…😩
