I have found the solution. All is now working.
The problem is that there is a link in the A&H site

to a download for a waves3 driver (v9.10) that is not the right one to be taken.

The right things to be done is to download the offline waves central (as mentioned by Nicola)

and to install the wavesv3 driver for A&H.

Regarding the license recognition problem. I had to désactive all my waves plug ins before to reactivate them again after the driver installation.

I hope this explanation will help other people in the future.

Dear SteffenR, I have tried with SG v14 and as well with the wave card driver v14, but the soundcard is not recognized.
To test this different configurations’ I had many blue screens.
The Pbs is that since this initial V9r10 released installation, all license on Waves plug-ins do not works anymore.
I have de-, re-installed with reg cleaning all again, but the result is always the same, no licenses anymore.
I have contacted waves support service, but without a result in the moment.

In the meantime I have reached to run SG studio application.
It request un driver update for the M-DL-WAVES3 card.
I do not know where to get this update, as the old waves console will not connect to the internet.
The waves central offline installation is requesting to browse to a data file I do not know where to find. The data package downloaded with the offline waves central will not link into.

Really not user friendly, however still not know how I can get un updated driver.

Dear Scott,
As I have explained above, the preamp section can decode M/S, but don’t code it.
Therefore you have to combine R -Pol / L + normal stereo. Than you have to split it into 2 separate mono to process, and than you can decode it by using the preamp section M/S.
But at each step you have to add a Aux bus, which reduce your Aux bus account.

Is there a better way?

Why do it simple if you can do it complicate.
I find the timed fading a good idea to be added as option on the mute.

yes, it is very useful.
Perhaps there is a patent on this kind of display that A&H don’t implement it?
Otherwise I don’t understand that this is still not done. All other Mixer have this.

Dear all,
I have just updated the last firmware 1.71 and all is now running OK.
However the fader alignments I have done is away with the initial position delta between the fader, but this I will not touch again.

I had the same problem since long months. Only firmware v1.50 that has not this problem.
All others, one by one, I have tested have gotten after a while the same distortion.
This problem can sometimes come up after 30min, but it’s come up.

I am only working now with v1.50.
And in addition you can go with a very slow latency and it’s working fine.

Thanks MarkPAmin to react on my post.

1st of all I have a QU24 and I don’t work with a iPAD. All my manipulations are done manually on the desk.

The 1st switches between LR and Mix-X are going correct on the right position, but from around the 3-4 switches the delta + 1-4db is appearing on the faders. By the way, I have observed the same problem on GEQ.

Following observations:
– LR on 0db and Mix-X -50db or opposite => the 1st 3 times, positioning soft and correct, afterwards the faders hits strong the -50db position and then the delta appears.
– LR or Mix-X not on -50db position, but something else, => no problem all time the faders goes to the right position
– Before to pass from LR to Mix-X or opposite, I select between the Layer bottom => all is OK, no problem with the positioning.

This different test shows that it is not a hardware problem, but that the software is loosing the info after several repeating.

I have uploaded a previous firmware and had again the same problem.
I have tried again the calibration, but the result is the same.

It is completely frustrating and the mixer is absolute useless, if it don’t goes to the initial fader position.

The problem has started with the last firmware update. never had this problem before.

I agree with [XAP]Bob, I have done the same to get the view of the frequencies displayed over the IPad with Alt-Out, but it is not working very well. I am trying to let this work with line 6 sonic port VX, because it has a line in for the Alt-Out.

However, it would be great and helpful to have something more visible.

Yes I agree, I have seen it on Behringer and PreSonus as a native link with the computer over USB.
It gives fantastic possibilities for mixing and would be an additional argument in relation with their direct competitors.
