Spoke to Allen & Heath for those that are interested:

The Dante 64×64 Card allows 64 channels of audio over 64 separate flows and is based on the Dante HC technology (not chip, my mistake!)

That is, you could send 1 channel of audio from 64 separate devices to the card – although it wouldn’t be terribly efficient (wasting 3/4 of bandwidth as each unicast flow encapsulates 4 channels of audio)

Thanks for your reply Showtime – but are you saying that the card can support 64 x 64 flows or channels?

I know that the Dante 64×64 Card can support 64 channels – that’s in the spec. What I’m asking is if it can support 64 separate flows (or 32? or 16?) – which determines the number of devices you can send from, rather than the number of channels.

I’m not interested in Dante Virtual Soundcard at the moment, thanks.
