Yes, that is the first thing that I noticed as well. I love the soft rotaries idea. Great for stereo playback returns etc. but useless without any level data. So +1billion for me. ; )

I actually find the revels on the d-live very good. In fact I much prefer them over the VI verbs. I use several and I always use EQ to shape the returns and LPF and HPF to manage the bandwidth I am looking for. I have owned and still own very nice reverbs in my studio and I am not disappointed at all. As I mentioned, shape the reverb return with EQ, I also routinely do this in the studio as well.

I am experiencing weird behaviours with my ip8/C1500 combo as well. Yesterday I assigned the DCA’s to one layer and assigned the button below the scribble strip to be a mix button for each DCA. this allowed me to spill the DCA assignments on the C1500 from the “mix” button on the ip8. Today the ip8 played up a little when first connected and I had to reprogram the ip8 to the assignments that I wanted. Now when I try to assign a button the “mix” and “select” parameters in the drop down menu are not there. They are literally not a venue option today. I updated to VER1.70 last week. Super weird.

Ihave a C1500 in a light weight welded aluminium flight case that comes in under 32kg and a CDM48 in a welded aluminium rack case as well. I also take a little ip-8 controller in a small ;pelican case and add that to the C1500 for additional faders. I usually put the matrices, AUX masters etc on this device and sometimes the DCA’s.

I agree that some EQ emulations would be fantastic. As stated, these would be great (Pultec, 1073, 1084, SSL, ISA EQ) but I would add to that the API 5500 or similar having something with interesting Q functions. An asymmetrical EQ would be fabulous for output busses.

I agree. I would love some different EQ emulations. SSL, Neve, API5500, GML, Neumann PEV, etc.

Also, some further comp emulations. API2500, Al Smart C2 etc.

As said above an asymmetrical EQ like the LAKE would be incredible, even if only on the output busses.

I just finished a tour on the d-live and we recorded each night through Dante. The resulting tones from the head amps were really great and definitely studio quality.
