Hi Ixnsmv,
For shure you can control the Mute of your channels 1-48 of the SQ via Midi.
But it’s actually not possible to control any processing or preAmp parameters.
But mute, level, assignment, pan, scene recall and some other stuff can be midi controled.
Do you know the documentation?

johannes2022/02/18 at 5:44 pm #106101Hi jmix,
Sorry I do not use QLAB either Avantis ๐
But maybe I can help with midi ๐What is your actually problem?
As I’ve seen in the Midi Reference Table:
Scene Recall
Bank and Program Change message
To recall one of the 500 Scenes using 4 banks
Also transmits this message when a Scene is recalled from the Avantis screenIs there a way, that QLAB can learn incoming Midi commands?
So you can change scene at the Avantis manually and QLAB can learn this midi message from the mixer.Maybe this can be an easy way to program the correct scene and bank number!

to free up resources!2022/01/20 at 7:58 am #105472+1
And I was a bit surprised when I learn we can control more things in a QU via midi than on a sq.
๐
at least things like “SEL” (to get the mixbus sends for that channel/mix/eg on my midi faderwing via Bomebox)
so that i don’t have to use the faderflip on the SQ..greetings,

when tunning the HPF, the screen should stay at the PEQ view!
that’s important for me.the HPF Freq is showed in the graph,
an the slope is not so important for me.
If i want to see or change the slope, i can go to the HPF screen view.So please STAY at the PEQ view, while turning the HPF Knop!!!
thanks

2022/01/18 at 12:16 pm #105441Hi Dave,
use the SQ!! ๐
there you’ll have a Bal on all Stereo mixes!
(I don’t know why those are’nt correctly viewed in the signal flow diagram… there is written “BAL Main LR only” but it’s wrong…)greetings,

It doesn’t matter if the Aux mix is set to pre or post Fader.
The important thing is the tapping point where in the channel the mix is crapping the signal. And the only point where the signal ist post compressor/ducker is called: post delay.
Have a view at the attached screenshots so that you can understand that behaviour.Greetings,

dd2021/12/31 at 10:02 pm #105164Hi daver2,
Be aware: SQ can only offer 3 Matrix mixes!
Mono, or Stereo at any combination.
That’s one of the down-sides of SQWhile the LS9 has 8 Mono Matrix!
FX Send & Return handling is almost the same on both desks.
SQ has GEQ on every Bus, so they don’t eaten up any FX Slot like at the LS9.Is a good choice!

dd2021/12/30 at 1:47 pm #105122Hi @andy
Be aware: Using an Aux mix, or a Sub group has nothing to do with the local I/O sockets (XLR or Jack) or any other Analog or digital I/O via any possible Port.
Because you have to ROUTE the mix (Aux, Group, Matrix, LR, …) to a physical PORT via the IO-Tap!
So: you can use a drum-group, without ANY physical IO -> so it won’t eat up NO xlr-socket!
No matter if it’s Mono or Stereo.
you can route this group to your LR-Mix internally! For sure, if you need the drum group external, you’ll need to route this group to any physical socket.
Tip: take a look at the I/O-Tap under the register: “output”

dd2021/12/27 at 8:52 pm #105071Hi Jal,
SQ5 an SQ7 share the same core, the same “DSP-Engine”.
differences: Faders, A/D D/A IOs, Soft-controls2021/12/21 at 8:50 pm #104995oot:
Very Sadly the 4 FX busses can’t be routed out of the board (directly…) -
