Or use the “Assign” key left to the display s plus the “Sel” of the channel.

You have to switch the channel off the main bus via the routing tap.
When this channel isn’t assigned to the main bus, you can adjust the GX with the fader.

    Ciao Davide,

As far as i know, it’s not possible to turn some of the midi messages off. But you can use some extra pice of software like the Midi Translator Pro from BOME to filter out some special messages.

This software can offer virtual midi ports in your system and route only the needed messages thru. And btw it’s a very powerful software to handle midi!

I use the software together with the BOME Box to connect my faderwing directly to the SQ – without any additional PC – because this little Box is managing the connection and also the midi translation. Love it! 😉

    Greetings,
    jo

If you wouldn’t waste a second channel, you can realize your need with the use of the Midi Faders of the SQ.
You’ll need an external device like a PC or the Bomebox to get this midi command and send it back to the SQ to control the sendlevel of an certain channel to an certain mixbus…

Ok a bit tricky, but will work! 😉

I’m using an external Faderwing to realize such targets.
So I can offer a fixed fader to control let’s say the sendlevel of an specific channel to the FX Engine…

btw. other brands can offer this in board…
    😉

    greetings,
    dd

    Hi Ivo!
    What a nice idea!!!
Instead of search thru all pages in the IO-Tap to find if the mix is going to a local, slink, card or USB socket, an overview in the routing screen can help a lot!

Maybe a list of all sockets where the mix is sending in the mix routing options?? (see screenshot)

What about the extension of the possible midi commands for the SQ?

we do not show the overall (yellow) EQ curve with HPF included as it would be inaccurate to do so

Hi, this is not true (at least for me) why should it be inaccurate?

A filter curve is ever and ever relative, and nothing absolute!!
So what’s the difference if the subharmonics are added before, or after or in-between 2 filter stages?
Ok for the resulting Audio it’s different.
But for the RELATIVE overall Filter curve it makes no difference!
    Or may I be wrong?

But in somma it doesn’t matter if the overall curve is displayed in yellow or not…

    BUT:
OK A&H is implementing their strictly rules of
changing the screen to the corresponding display page. This results in this anoing situation that the screen changes from PEQ to HPF including a heavy LOSS of displayed information… :(. 🙁 :(. :(.

    But the important question is:
Why the hell is the HPF shown in the PEQ page??
Here they throw their own guidelines overboard…

So please follow your voices and stay the hell at the PEQ page, in case the HPF Encoder is touched…

Even if for your CORRECT engineering the HPF is something totally different then the PEQ…

For us in the field it isn’t.

    thanks
    dd

Maybe with some DIY via Midi to get the levels from one console to the other.
Or the fantastic DavidGiga will create such tool (maybe this time with the help of A&H?)

    😉
