Not very nice Workaround:
Doing the mute via the IO routing tap.
Because patching is done without signal spikes – so “hot patch” won’t be a problem.

create scenes with the different routings
Alow them to change ONLY the routing.

Switch between the scenes via Softkeys.

Awful but saves busses…

Will end in a mess when you wan’t to change something else in your routing….

I love them too…

Here I’ve done a Faderwing without PC: https://community.allen-heath.com/forums/topic/faderwing-for-sq#post-98456

I love it 😉

Noise on power on/off

DX has build in relays on outputs.

But i do not understand why the developers saved is up in the SQ – so it has NO build in Relais… =(

Hi A&H users,

Maybe someone is interested:
I got my icon Platform M+ running as Faderwing for the SQ – via the Bomebox!

SQ -> WIFI Router -> WIFI -> Bomebox -> icon Platfrom M+

But i think it should work with every HUI Protocol – maybe with some adjustments…

To setup the surface on the icon i use the encoders (while pressing the rec Button to edit)
So i can create a userdefined surface as it’s done on the SQ (but without drag&drop 😉

Faderflip can be done with the “SEL” Buttons (AuxSnd 1-8) and Encoder Knobs (AuxSnd 9-12 & FxSnd 1-4)
Mutegroups 1-8 are programmed to the “Rec” Buttons.
Solo Buttons are used for the User Defined Buttons.

The .bmtb file (Bome MIDI Translator) is attached, which is needed to translate the MIDI Commands.

I’d be happy to get some feedback!
have a nice day,
greetings,
dd

DiGiCo is not saying on which samplerate they work – but i think it’s also 96kHz.

Question remains:
Is the only difference the output protocol?

Is the Box a DiGiCo or a A&H product?

greetings,

Hi!

When you disble the function which opens the processing window automaticly, you can leaf any screen and use the EQ Knobs without any grafical response…

But maybe then it would be great to get the values (like it’s realized on Midas Pro Series):
no matter what your screen is showing – when you turn any knob -> the get’s a small popup with the value inside.

This would ba a great thing for the SQ!
I love this little popup value – without changing the screen!

Another suggestion:

Please open the PEQ screen when pressing one of the 4 PEQ Band Buttons.
The screen will open when turning one of the 3 Encoders – but by pressing the Buttons there is no Response – wondering why not…

thanks!

Great Idea,

I think this should work! – Give us info about your experience.

To get the 5 pin Midi Signal out of your SQ – you’ll need the bomeBox.
Or you’ll use a Computer connected to the USB or Network of your SQ.

But the Bomebox can also connect via Wifi to the SQ – I’m playing actual a lot with this little Box – it’s amazing 😉

At the SQ System there is no build in Webserver – and therfore you wont get any remote page!

You’ll need to install the SQ MixPad on your PC to controll the SQ via Network…

+1 for FX Routing (Send to Output and also Return to Channel)

+1 for I/O Screen -> maybe like in the SQ Mix App (there you can Zoom in and out of the screen) like it’s on every smartphone the gesture with 2 fingers…

+1 for PFL Trim options

Hi Kevin!

You have created a layer, and on the very right side you put the “Mtx2 – Master” Fader (so you can control your Stage Volume)
nearby you’ve put your “Mtx3 – Master” Fader for Streaming.

if I select Aux 2 why it says Mtrx2 when I press view. Shouldn’t it say Aux2 as well?
NO!

Because Mtx2 and Mtx3 are the Master Fader (the Volume of the hole Matrix mix) and there is NO FADERFLIP!
It will be stay as Masterfader – no matter which Mix you are selecting!

For the Input channels they will do a Faderflip, so that you can adjust their level send to that selectet mix.

BUT: you cannot send an Mtx mix to another Aux mix!

So every Mtx Master Fader (Mtx 1-3, DCA, LR FX Send) will stay the same NO MATTER which Aux Mix you’ve selected!

By the way – nothing will change in the “view” display mode when you change mixes…

all the best!
dd
