How do I achieve zero latency monitoring for audio inputs … I assume it would be pre-insert as inserts are going into the DAW, but how???

    Thanks all!!!

Zero latency monitoring is not possible with digital audio devices…

Do all monitoring with the desk and it’s already minimal latency.
Don’t use the monitoring of your DAW.

    Thanks for that SteffenR.

My problem is I have 2 sets of monitors, 45-46 are my daw returns and 47-48 are for my direct console monitoring. So I guess I’ll have to send a feed from both buses to the artist and try and minimise my daw returns latency as much as possible. I’m currently using Cubase whereas in Studio One it has a zero latency button but would stutter if you had too much going on.

Well back to the drawing board I guess.

Returns latency is not important if the returns contain the playback only.

If you use the mixer as the input monitoring device, turn direct ASIO monitoring off if enabled.
