Xone62 Xfader > Rotary conversion

Hi, please excuse my ignorance.

I’ve seen various Xone mixer models converted to rotary but never a Xone 62. I don’t think it’s possible to replace the channel faders with rotary pots.

My potentially ignorant idea: Could it be possible (if a housing plate were fabricated) to replace the Penny & Giles crossfader with 1 X Left & 1 X Right channel rotary pots wired into the 4 pin connection that usually takes the crossfader? The idea being that channels 3 to 6 could be assigned to either of the rotary pots in the same way as the existing crossfader?
