When adjusting the threshold of a DynEQ band, the gain changes. Why?
I’ve never seen any other brand dynamic EQ behave that way and imho it’s very counter intuitive. Usually I want:
1. Set an eq curve
2. Adjust the threshold to archive some gain reduction
3. The gain of the eq curve defines how “agressive” the reduction will be.
If my levels change and I need to adjust the threshold, the EQ curve should stay the same.
I’ve noticed the same on all A&H DynEQ implementations but never figured out why.
Anyone here could explain that behavior or the intention behind it?
