    I connected my iPad to the USB-B on the 12t but was disappointed to see the iPad was not charging from that port. Audio worked fine.

    Is this normal or perhaps a limitation of the cable I purchased?

    A quick look through the user manual doesn’t say that it will charge your device. I have the CQ-20B, but as I don’t have a device plugged into the USB port I haven’t noticed if it charges or not. I will take a look this evening for you and will report back.

    🙂

    @Hansenhaus

    That’s normal – USB-B ports do not provide power.
    To charge your device while connected to the USB-B port, you would need to use a dongle of some sort with an external supply connected.

    Thanks,
    Keith.

    @Keith,

    when I read the OP post I completely skipped the part were he said “USB-B”, I automatically assumed he was referring to the USB-A port. 🙂

    @Lee7

    I should also have noted that the USB-A port does supply power to spec (500mA).

    Cheers,
    Keith.
