I just set up my CQ-12T at my church (and so far it’s terrific, and just what I needed!).
But I’m having trouble connecting with the iPad app. I have a network cable plugged in directly to a nearby network switch, which in turn is is connected to the WIFI router.
Using this set up, I can connect to the CQ-12T with no problem on my MacBook via WIFI. However my iPad (9th generation running iOS 17) can’t see or find the mixer.
I tried manually entering the IP address as shown on the CQ-12T system info screen, but still no luck. The mixer has the latest firmware, BTW.
Any thoughts?

The first thing to check would be that the app has permission to access the local network in the iPad ‘Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network’ screen.
You should also ensure the network adaptor that you’re using is compatible with the iPad and working correctly. Thanks,

Which device do you mean by the network adapter?
In case it matters, the iPad is able to access other content (the internet) via this WIFI set up.

In which case, ignore the second part, but still check the local network permission.I should also note that it is recommended to use a dedicated network for remote control of any mixer as it removes the risk of interference or reduced bandwidth causing issues.
Thanks,

I have now tried checking (and toggling/resetting) the local network permission, but it was already on and toggling it and rebooting didn’t help. I’ve attached a screen shot of the CQ system page in case that is helpful.
I understand about using a dedicated network, and if need be I will do that, but all I really need the iPad app to do is to be able to occasionally mute a channel. I don’t need the bandwidth for constant control of the mixer, and I hoped to have the iPad always on the WAN church network so I can use the internet on the iPad for reading music, etc.
I can’t understand why I can connect via the Macintosh CQ MixPad app using the same network and settings. I’ve also tried giving the mixer an IP address manually, but that also did not work. I am wondering if perhaps the iPad is on a different subnet from the mixer (and the Mac is on the right one) but I am not sure how to check that. Is there a way can specify a subnet when I enter the IP manually in the CQ app?
One other thing that may or may not be relevant. I first set up the CQ at home on my home network using the Mac app, so the mixer and the Mac already had a history of connecting before I moved it to the church network and tried to connect with the church iPad.
Any help would be appreciated.
Arthur
