Just thought I could share my Frankfurt setup at the PL+S show.
Control network with mix of static IP and DHCP. AP was our Cisco 1262N – rock solid with no dropouts throughout the show despite fighting against hundreds of other networks. 5 iPads running MixPad, OneMix, GLD Remote, Qu-Pad. ASUS all-in-one PC running iLive Editor on Windows 8 for MixRack-only, touch-based mixing.
Dante network with MacBook Pro running Dante Controller & Virtual Soundcard. Multicast flows to maximise network bandwidth. Streaming Ane Brun’s multitrack to GLDs, iLives and ME-U. This time I let Dante to sort out its own clock master (all mixers set to sync from I/O port), and it worked beautifully.
ME-U was set to poll names from the Network port.
Qu mixers with local Qu-Drives and USB streaming from an iMac.
