I had to do monitormix for the main act with my QU24 and to mix the support act with monitors adjusted at FOH (iLive).
I decided do use the AUX sends and the EQs of the iLive and connect the AUX sends of the QU to the External Inputs of the iLive auxes. So nothing needs to be rewired during changeover. Everything went perfect, until I switched the Talkback at the iLive on.
I found out, that engaging the Talkback does not only mute the Signal Generator (as ist’s written in the manual) but also mutes the external inputs of the auxes, which are assigned to the Talkback. I can’t find any information about this in the manual.
Was this programmed this way on purpose, anf if, what’s the benfit of this?
Is there anything that can be done to change this, exept a firmware update, which will not happen, because the desk is out of production.
