While making no adjustments to our SQ7, suddenly instruments were muted. Checking the board, all of the mix keys are now lit solid red, soft key 8 is blinking yellow, and numerous buttons and dials are completely unresponsive, including:

    Mute Keys
    Sel Keys
    PAFL Keys
    Mix Keys
    All EQ and Processing Dials

All I am able to do is use soft keys, soft dials, and the touch screen.

Fortunately, I can still mix using my tablet, but this is obviously a huge problem. Any tips?

    I’m running firmware 1.5.9.

If you’re interested in seeing a video of the problem, here is a google drive link to a video:

Please try disconnecting your external network/router just to rule out any interference there, but as you are still able to mix via SQ-MixPad, I’d suspect an issue with the control loop of the surface.
This reads and updates all surface controls and LED’s, so it would be impossible to say what the root of the problem is without a full check over an service.

If disconnecting the network connection doesn’t help then, you could contact us through support.allen-heath.com, but it will probably be quicker to contact your local distributor straight away to organise a service/repair. You can find the full list of our distribution partners here – https://www.allen-heath.com/where-to-buy/

    Thanks,
    Keith.
