    Hello,

i have a question regarding the Yamaha TIO Stagebox. We have bought a SQ5 which is a great console with the DANTE Card. So now we want to share the Stageboxes with another friend that we can use his Yamaha Tio 1608-D. After some research we found the DIP at the box that have to be set that the Stagebox is in resume mode. But the problem is that the GAIN and the 48V is not applied to the Stagebox.

Is it possible to enable that function and use it? It’s a bit annoying that that you have a DANTE-Compatible device and it’s not really usable. With other vendors. So does anyone here know how to do it? Or is it not possible?

Idk how the tf serie works, but on RIO-d2 serie you can control the preamp/hpf via Rremote (yamaha softfare) and then the trim with your sq. maybe you could check if something like the Rremote software exist in the tf range?

Thanks for your reply. Yamaha has the “R Remote” Software which is linked on the website for the TIO-Stagebox. But it’s very annoying that you have a DANTE standard which is not working with other boxes and every Vendor makes it on his own…

The issue is that Dante is an Audio Transport Protocol. There is nothing in Dante about device control. Dante runs over a tcp/ip network. Yamaha has a device control protocol implemented in their desks and stage boxes to control preamp gain and phantom power.
A&H doesn’t have that for other vendor devices.
