    I think it‘s a shame that no more emphasis it placed on solid Workmanship.
    I‘ts horrible that all sockets are built into the circuit bord…the FX aren‘t the
    particularly good either…the good old ROLAND M200i Conole can do all of that
    much better….that’s just sad ….

    And what’s the point?

    You bought the console without proper testen if the sq5 is what you need.

    I don’t recognize this problems.

    All the sockets and jacks of my SQ-5 are mechanically fixed to the rear panel. From there they must make electrical connection to the pcb’s. If it is a direct connection, all the better, not requiring jumpers. Please correct me if I am mis-informed.

    @Bricasti
    I’m so sorry that you’re sad!
    But I still think it is well known that the assessment of the quality of FX is largely a matter of personal taste and not a technical problem.
    On the other hand, it seems you have just forgotten to mention the troubles that you have had due to the horrible construction of the console.
    Knowing this could greatly improve the understanding of your post.

    There’s a pretty active market for used SQs. Put it up for sale and buy a Behringer. Someone might even be pleased to trade you. 🙂

    The reverbs are pretty bad on the SQ5 not gonna lie. However, there are plenty of things the desk does better than so many other offerings at this price range on the market (some of those things you have to pay for). The compressor plugins are really really good emulations. The Dynamic EQ and Multiband Comp are incredible. The phase coherency, low latency, customizability, flexible routing and plugin implemetation wipe the floor with the M32s and StudioLive’s of the world. The SQ5 really does sound and behave like a miniature DLive. Wish A&H was able to develop this desk further. Due for a firmware update.
