Would it be possible to bring SQ4You up to 8 groups instead of 4? I run a small regional audio company & have become quite fond of the SQ5. Trick little mixer!

However, SQ4you is always available with my system, but has become completely unused for most events simply due to the lack of group count. I know everyone’s first thought is use ME1’s instead, but they don’t give performers any better control than just letting them use the mixer itself, they add even more cable to keep track of, and they extend setup time. That might be alright for some events, but for most of the events I’m involved with, it’s not. It’s simply faster to show an entire band how to find their mix on the SQ5. The only thing that would be quicker still is 8 groups on SQ4you 🙂

Usually the decision making process on whether SQ4you can be used looks like this:
    1. Group 1: Drums
    2. Group 2: Guitars
    3. Group 3: Keys
    4. Fixed group: Me
    5. Where’s the bass going?
    6. How about other vocalists?
    7. House for the IEM’s?
    8. Sq4you is a no. Just teach the band how to use the SQ5 instead.

Which sticks the FOH guy with an iPad running mixpad.

    Anyway, thanks!
    Todd
