I’m considering purchasing a SQ-6 or SQ-7 so I can enjoy the benefits of working on a console instead of using the mouse for everything. I’m a bedroom type producer and I don’t have plans to use it for live gigs. I plan to use Waves Soundgrid to incorporate outboard gear and take the plug-in load off the computer. I’ve been a Reason user for quite awhile and I’m comfortable with it as my DAW. I would like to use Reason, to record and playback tracks with the SQ mixer acting as an audio interface/mixer.

What kind on integration can I expect between Reason and the SQ? Can I sync faders at the very least? Can I control the transport from the SQ?

What DAW, besides Pro Tools, has the best compatibility with the SQ series devices? If Reason isn’t supported maybe I can move on.
