SQ Live Professor issues

I’m having issues with plugins distorting with Live Professor. Using an A&H SQ7 @ 96k via USB to a PC with 8gb ram, and a 4 core I7 processor. Have increased the buffer size and checked all the PC settings. Running an ASIO driver with all background apps turned off. Dedicated machine, and I have gone thru YouTube videos to optimize the computer for audio use. Not clipping anything on the console, or in Live Professor. It seems to happen on channel inserts. What might I be doing wrong?
