Hi I had a bad issue last gig on Saturday
Rig is sq6 45 mt cat5e to ar2412
Mix 1 to 4 out of the ar to a qsc pld 4.5
Issue after a peak from 3 vocal channels on mix 2 and 3
All hell broke loose
The monitors took off with what can be discribed as digital white noise at full power over 110 dB out of the monitors
Not nice 3 songs to there set
I muted everything on the console
Still screaming I ran down to the stage and turned off the qsc and it stoped but!!!!
After firing it all back up
Adjusting gain settings on the vox channel after any loud vocal transients a shaking sound was produced in the monitors only not foh or the drum fill which was off a different amp on mix 6
Have I just overloaded the a/d converters in the ar2412 or the sq6
Please help
Hi just to add from my last post
I had a qu32 exactly the same set up no issues at all and iv had our side engineers on that board giving it a flogging peak lights every ware
Are the sq6 a/d converters a bit more sensitive???
Hi Tim,
I’m sorry to hear that happened.
It’s not something I have had reported to me before, so it’s not a known issue that I’m aware of.
Could you please start a ticket at support.allen-heath.com so that we can look into this further with you?
