Hi all,
i am new rot the forum and really appreciate your help.
Recently i purchased Livetrax and started to test recording and playback from/to my MacBook Pro M1.
I am not able to get an input from the SQ …. Setup is ok (SQ 5 in USB Mode, IP direct outs connected to USB in I/O)
LiveTrax also recognised the USB Interface as SQ-Audio, MIDI Control via Allen&Heath Protocol ist working as well.
Playback to SQ is working. But when i want to record I don’t see any input coming from SQ, no level in the meter bars at all.
All other DAW’s which i tested like Logic Pro, Garage Band, Wavelab and PreSonus Studio One are working !! They directly show me that there is an input via the input meter bars.
So that is a proof that my basic configuration is ok, although i use MacOs Sonoma 14.5 which is not finally approved by A&H.What is wrong with LiveTrax, where is my mistake ? It is also very interesting to observe that there is the same problem with Reaper as well.
Do they use maybe same libraries ? Is it a compatibility issue with MacOS CoreAudio ?Any ideas ?
Thanks in advance
Arnd

great – that was the solution. Thank you very much !!!
But, is it not a minor design flaw of LiveTrax not to show me that issue ? Maybe it can be found in the manuals (RTFM).
Nevertheless that solves the prob in Reaper as well.Best regards

edit:
The programs/apps do not know they have no access to the audio from the input, they just think there is silence.
As some apps, if they are hellbent on listening in on your privacy, will try other methods if they are told they have no access.2024/07/27 at 5:18 pm #124155tourtelotParticipantImagine, some computer app trying to “listen in.” Imagine.

SQ did not recognize the update. But then I learned from the forum that it currently only works with a Windows PC – so i tried it with my other windows laptop and that worked immediately. So both problems yesterday were caused by MacOS – hopefully Apple will not change more in the future.
