I use my SQ-5 as the front end for my DAW using Reaper and/or Sonar. I typically do lots of overdubbing as I’m a one man shop. The problem I run into is that with lots of Waves plugins loaded I have to increase my buffer to avoid pops/crackles/distortion but this also adds latency. My question is would a Waves or Dante card using Dante Virtual Sound card help my situation? Obviously the Waves card would give me the option of upgrading to a Waves SoundGrid Server in the future. Is anyone else using a system similar to this and what are your experiences?
