    Hi – couple of things:

    1/
Having just done 10+ acts a day, over 3 days with 15 mins turn around times, I really could have done with setting up soft rotaries on MixPad at times.

    2/
A guest engineer really wanted to adjust the gain of one band of the PEQ from a soft rotary. I was quite surprised not to be able to provide this for him. Only frequency seems to be available – unless I missed it completely, but we both looked.
Context: This was a running feedback loop for an external delay – back to itself for Dub effects and >100 feedback type sounds. Overall feedback on a fader worked as planned but we wanted high end cut/boost instantly accessible too. Workaround was “fixing” an iPad to that channel and he moved the eq with his finger, but he’d have much preferred a physical control.

    Hey Mark!

1/ This is definitely something we’ve got on the list to look at. Obviously it’s priority/position on that list can be affected by responses here.

2/ Press the associated Soft Rotary Key when the Rotary is assigned to an EQ (current sel or fixed) to effectively jump through the same functions as three dedicated rotaries on the surface (Gain/Freq/Width). You’ll also notice the illumination changes to match (Red/Green/Amber).

    Cheers,
    Keith.

While using the soft rotaries as aux sends for monitors, it would be handy to be able to press the corresponding button and ad able to move that rotary to another range of aux sends. We have an SQ7 and would like to be able to send all 12 auxiliaries to monitors via the rotaries. This would be even more handy on an SQ6 since there are only 4 rotaries. Each button press could move through three ranges of auxiliary sends. When we have a channel selected its faster and less work on the fader motors to send the signal to a stage full of performers waiting for that one signal rather than flipping through each (sends on faders) mix.

CH to All Mix button already exists.

Channel to all mix is great unless you need a different level in each mix.

    Hi Soundave,

Maybe you didn’t get the function of this button right?

    Hi Soundave,

    Another idea:
    You can create different scenes:
Scene 1: soft rotaries are aux 1-4
Scene 2: soft rotaries are aux 5-8
    And so on…
Recall Filter on everything, exapt the soft rotaries.
Then via Softkeys you can recall that scenes to change the control parameters of your rotaries!

    greetings
