Not a biggy of major problem, but I think a ‘Shuffle All’ option would a welcome addition to those who use audio playback at there events.

Last night I/we played at a private party were background music was needed, the night before I had ripped some CD’s and popped them on a USB stick to use as playback. The majority of the CD’s were compilations, but one was a CCR album. When playing back the audio, the QU plays all the tracks back in the order they appear on the stick, so all of CCR’s songs were being played back one after the other, if there was a shuffle all option this wouldn’t happen.

Surely this would be an easy addition to apply?

    Maybe I am missing something?

    AirPlay from any iOs device.

That is one option but not one I really wish to use, would rather just plug a USB stick in the QU drive and play. However I will look in to that for future performances.

    Thanks

+1 for random/shuffle playback for .wav files on Qu Drive.
Uncertain how difficult it is to code a ‘random play’ feature but it sure would be handy!

Not possible when you have 100’s or even 1000’s of tracks, takes far too much time. 🙂

    It’s easy with a script 🙂

I was being facetious, but it is technically possible.

Rename and Randomize your files with numerical file names
Download, install and start Bulk Rename Utility.
Navigate to your directory, select all files
    Use Menu Action->Random Sort
    Renumber according to your preferences

Of course this is a static random order. I’d prefer to have a handmade playlist…

Thanks Andreas, I will download that utility and give it a try.

Amything is better than what is on offer at the moment.

    🙂
