When mixing monitors (especially on the Solo where faders are very limited), it would be a great workflow improvement if there was a channel strip rotary function that allows send levels of one input to many different send targets when activated.

This would allow me to adjust multiple send levels of a single input at the same time, which is a very common use case when doing monitors during sound check. I would imagine that I could select up to 12 send targets in the surface prefs menu. Another possible use case could be to select FX sends and then quickly adjust multiple FX targets for a channel.

I am aware that there is a “Send Level” function already, but this is not what I am looking for because it controls the send levels of many inputs to one target, but I am looking for controlling send levels of one input to many targets.

The “routing” screen lets you view and adjust the send levels of the currently selected channel with regard to all the auxes. The list is shown in a vertical format, so you might need to swipe to scroll through the entire list, you you can easily select a auxes send level and then use the main encoder to adjust that send level.

Thanks Brian! I haven’t incorporated the Routing view into my soundchecking/monitoring workflow yet, I might give that a try. However, it is still limiting in terms of that I can not adjust more than one send level at the same time.

I usually have my aux mixes on soft buttons so I am fairly quick already. I just know that I could be even quicker if there was a way to adjust more than one send level at the same time, because it involves less switching.

On the normal size Avantis layout (or on a bigger dLive), I’d have the auxes on my channel strip on the right side of the console, activate mix/fader flip of the given channel and then adjust multiple aux faders at the same time. I’d like to have a way to do something similar on my Solo as well, which could be achieved by the suggested feature.

Another option is if you place your auxes on a fader layer. I realize with the Avantis Solo, space is limited, but if you do this you can easily change multiple aux send levels at the same time. What you want to do is press the blue “mix” button on the input you want to change the send levels for, and then pull up the layer with all of the aux sends. Now the layers will show the current aux send level for that particular input and you can change them all at once. Don’t forget to press the blue mix button on that channel again, or on the main L/R mix, to ensure you stop “mixing aux on faders” and go back to mixing the main PA levels.

One thing to keep in mind is that you can save a scene and “safe” every setting except the fader layout. This way you can create a scene that pulls up another set of layers (and another scene to go back to your “normal” layers), and then use softkeys to load this scene. So your normal fader layout might not have your auxes showing, but you could load a “aux layer” scene which would replace the existing layers with layers that would show the auxes. Another softkey could be used to reload your “normal” layers. It is a quick and efficient method to add more than 6 layers to the surface. Just make sure you set your scene filters up correctly so that only the fader layers get changed with these scene recalls.
