Just got this little unit, and overall coming in from Yamaha side to AH, I am impressed and the whole unit is super easy to work with.
I ran into a snag having to port settings – I mean everything, channel assignments, channel scenes, output assignments, etc. – all I could find is a channel scenes that I can backup and couldn’t backup the whole thing.
Like in my settings, for example, I had the DAW return to channel 15&16 joined in stereo (digital) – I believe I have to do that manually on the new mixer…or am I missing something?

Another question I have on the fx used – can these be swapped, for example I’d love to get rid of the doubler and install a delay effect.

I’m new to the CQ-18T as well, and also upgrading from Yamaha (MG10XU)

Just got mine A&H unit yesterday (literally) and I’ve run into a few glitches myself w/ initial network connections.

    As for your (2) questions…

    1. You can (actually, must) save “Shows” (w/ up to 100 scenes) and “Libraries” to a USB stick, which also facilitates backup / transfer functionality of sorts.

    2. Yes, there are a few other FX options available natively in the unit itself. Click FX button > Click the top-right folder icon on any FX screen to access the FX list.

Looking at the screens, it SEEMS like new FX could be made available via firmware updates. Sure wish it supported VST plug-ins LOL !!!

Re #1 – only save to USB I guess? Can’t do it to the mixer and just export all the settings?

#2 – Thank you, found it, esp. wanted to get rid of the Easy Verb and was looking for an echo effect.

TBH was looking for a convo reverb plugin but what it has is quite decent, no complaints at this stage.

Also compared to the Yamaha 02R that I worked with in the past, and my friend’s Behringer which I couldn’t make sense of at all, the AH CQ-18T is a breeze to operate, didn’t read much of the manual and after about an hour or two I am up and running.

Tracked vocals today using it’s preamp with a tube mic and am quite happy with the results!
