I have 1 mic coming into a input channel at reading 0Db on the input meters. I unassigned from the main mix and assign it to a group. The group level is barely reading on the meter. Is this normal? How do I get better gain structure on the group for proper processing and output levels. Thanks in advance.

    Hi Tom,

The Group meter is post-fade so check your Group fader is at 0dB, and that there is no processing on the Group affecting the level e.g. compressor, eq, inserts.

Also, with dLive you can allow peaks well over 0dB on the inputs, in fact even the Peak LED lights up 5dB before any digital clip, so there is plenty of headroom available.
