Hello everyone. Newbie to digital boards here so this may be an easy question.

On our current ZED 436, we have our room mics going through the Post Auxes, but not through the MLR outputs simply using the “routing buttons” next to each fader”.

On an SQ, is there a way to do the same thing of sending a channel to a Post Aux, but not through LR?

    Thank you!

Yes, you can run entirely separate aux mixes that do not have to go to main LR output.

We do exactly what you are asking: we have a stereo pair of room mics and piano mics that are routed to our livestream, but not to the main L/R FoH mix. Page 42 in the SQ Reference Manual explains how. See attached image.

In the example in the manual, ip1 (Input 1) is the selected channel and you can see all of the potential outputs for it. Notice MainLR is the first option and it is currently ON; tap the ON button and you will un-route Input 1 to MainLR.

    Hope that helps,

I knew I had to be missing something simple. Thank you!
